We came as a walk-in. Prices were okay, compared to other places.
The set-up of the place is not perfect as in the evening you can hear everything that is happening in the court.
Russians drinking, indian tourists misbehaving as usual, not a good experience at all.
The food is a disaster, totally overpriced. The staff have all a major attitude problem. No smiles, they even shouted at another guest who was politely asking for his passport.
Very unrelaxing experience in all.

We chose this hotel from a bunch of others as it seemed a value for money deal. However, it turned out not to be.

First, there was a goof up about the booking itself. The booking clerk was ignorant of the bookings done there and he had to call up his manager to confirm the booking after showing our booking confirmation. Still, they dint have the two 3-bedroom thingy ready so they were kind enough to give us three 2-bedroom, though the rooms were not cleaned (because they had no info about the booking). But they sent people immediately to clean the rooms once we reported. The food options are outright costly (atleast 3-4 times than any average hotel) and the food was not tasty at all. LCD TV is available for name sake. You get no channels properly.

Their website has an outdated cancellation rules page. You'll get a different rules (with exhorbitant cancellation fees) when you book the rooms. The website cancellation page stated 10% + bank charges if we cancel before 7 days of the accomodation date but when we received the confirmation we had 60% written. We landed paying almost 75% (including bank charges, remember?) when we cancelled the rooms for a day due to our plan change.

Overall, the atmosphere is good and is about 2 kms to vagator beach. This is a nice place to stay away from the Baga crowd, but this hotel is not worth the money we pay.

Well, this is not the case here!! not even close to the pictures in the web. terrible service, the staff is not pleasant .we could not had one smile or thanks/welcome from the waiter or front desk that served us.
rooms are way over pricey for what they offer. uncomfortable bad and the pool is very very small. far from the beach.
we cannot recommend to anyone spending his vacation time or money in Julie Jolly!

I break up my vacation in goa in two parts, first a 3 day stay at palolem(extreme south) then a two day stay at vagator(north goa). I stayed at julie jolly in north goa for the third time, and it was welcoming as ever. Its rooms are really value for money. I stayed in pool side a/c deluxe rooms and the rooms are best for 1800/night. Swimming pool was good. Don't expect proper room service though. Vagator beach was very close by. Mango Tree was a very good eating option near the restaurant. Also there is one disc called prim rose very near to hotel, which i found very good if you can dance till 5 am in the morning. It plays Goa Trance whole night.
Don't compare this place to calangute or bagha, it is very quite and secluded place, far from goa partying crowds.
