This hotel is a tasteful conversion of a traditional village building just on the edge of Gevery Chambertin village. Our bedrooms had lovely views over the vineyards, and the hotel is just a short walk into the village centre.
Our rooms (top floor) were simply but tastefully furnished in French provincial style, with small but spotlessly clean modern en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent – choice of standard coffee/bread/croissant or more extensive buffet choice for a small supplement. Home made jams, good choice of fruit, ham and cheese etc on the buffet and friendly attentive service.
The hotel does not have a restaurant but Gevery Chambertin offers a choice of four restaurants and a pizza place. The hotel proprietors and staff were very helpful with suggesting and booking restaurants (not easy on our first night as there was a wedding in the village), and both their recommendations were very enjoyable.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, well maintained and has ample off-road parking. It does not offer televisions, trouser presses or other gadgets, but is an excellent example of a small family-run French hotel.
