Spent four nights at Cesiak. Accommodation is in sturdy semi permenant tents under a palapa. Amazing views over the sea from our palapa, great for sunrise! Four nights was a bit too long for us as it is some way from restaurants etc of Tulum so you are quite isolated and Taxi from town costs circa 250 pesos. Would recommend it for a couple of nights to appreciate the setting and extremely peaceful atmosphere.

There is a restaurant and bar serving good mexican dishes. Amazing sunsets from the roof terrace over the reserve and great place for doing one of the nature tours they run from here. We did the full day boat tour which we would highly recommed.

We stayed in one of the cheaper double tent with palapa roof (no.14), which we thought were great. It had proper beds, clothes storage, a couple of water bottles (which you are encouraged to refill near the shower blocks), candles/matches and a covered terrace with both sea and lagoon views and a hammock and chair to sit in. The communal composting toilets and warm rainwater showers were also great and very clean - the staff seem to be continuously cleaning!

No.14 is a short walk from the access to the beach, the reception and restaurant/bar, which has spectacular views from its roof top (as does the shower block!). There are 15 tents in total with no.15 being furthest from the reception, and I think all apart from nos. 1 & 2 have good sea views. We enjoyed being close to the far end of the site as it felt very private, and it wasn't too far to the shower block as there are two - one being near tent 10.

At reception there are lockers for valuables with padlocks (which can be borrowed from reception), wifi and power points to charge electricals. The food at the adjoining restaurant was pretty good and reasonably priced (it's now priced in pesos), but I can imagine that if you were staying any longer than the 3 days we did without a car, it would be good if CESIAK had a communal kitchen/ bbq as well as the restaurant. However the only thing I would change about our stay was the weather - grey, wet and a little cold (very English)!!!

Have stayed here 5 times in past decade and highly recommend it. Make sure to take the early birding tour w/ pepe

A unique place which can be easily compared to paradise. Brilliant to-die-for 360 degrees views from your tent-cabana: on one side the sea and on the other the lagoon. The location is a bit remote and quite far from the Tulum hotelzone, but it is very much worth staying here. The onsite restaurant has even better views and serves extremely good food, especially freshly caught fish. Bring a torch and matches because there is no electricity in the tents. And you might need earplugs for the never ending sound of breaking waves right in front.
