“Absolutely amazing!”

It was our first holiday together and what a holiday it was! definatly want to go back. We stayed in a bed and breakfast executive suite which had a double jacuzzi bath tub a massive balcony and enormouse bed. The free bus's where lift saver. Although the ones into Alanya could be more frequent. Pools where amazing.

Also the Turkish people where lovely, couldn't do enough for you, in the spa they arranged without booking a double massage for the both of us in a really sweet room drizzled in rose petals.

Roof top restaurant is a MUST the views are amazing so romantic. And the irish bar is amazing especially the two brothers working behind the bar!
Cleaners weren't so good at first just changed the towels but after letting them know they cleaned the room completely.

the bad bits - full of russians and germans who were a biut arrogant and ignorant, but you tend to find the english people and stick to them! The transfer was awful but nothing to do with the hotel the stupid driver kept getting lost and also waited for 2 arrivals after us to take us to goldcity it was a 5 hour transfer but would be two and a half if taken in a taxi which isnt
expensive BUT WORTH IT...

its a must.

Room Tip: Corner south facing rooms are the best.

“Amazing hotel”

We booked a detached villa for is holiday and what a great choice it was. Very plush and clean, every time we went out the place was cleaned top to bottom! They must have been hidi in the bushes waiting for us to go out! Plenty for our 5 yr old boy to do, absolutely fantastic food and super friendly staff.
The only down side was waiting for the buses to arrive to take you to the main complex, they pretty much never ran on time so you never knew when a bus was coming, resulting in a mad dash for the bus stop whenever we heard a diesel engine!
You can't walk it really unless you are super fit, the villas are down the side of the hill and the hotel is on the top, and it's really steep.
Our pool could have been heated which would have made it perfect but it was so cold we hardly used it.
One day we missed the bus and the hotel manager picked us up when he was passing in his car, he told us to call him anytime if there was any bother and gave us his card!
If you love your food you'll love this place, it's just superb.
We went out of season so there wasn't many people there meaning the shows for the kids were a bit lax, well embarrassing actually - after one quite poor show by the staff they informed us the next sketch would be about people going to the toilet in different countries. We walked out at that point and so did most of the crowd, well, all 8 of them. Come on gold city, even if it's out of season at least try and put on a good show.
To be fair the lack of audience must have been a bit of a downer for the entertainment staff but still.
Some of the attractions mentioned in the brochure were closed out of season, including the amazing looking rooftop rotating bar. There was no-one in the Irish bar up the road either on the grounds of the hotel.
Still we really enjoyed the holiday, even in late October it was still pushing 30 degrees and the friendly staff and awesome food and cleanliness made it more than worthwhile going out of season.
Apparently the staff say its
Asked in the summer.
We will definitely be going again, but do bear in mind the nearest airport is a TWO HOUR DRIVE from the hotel and not much fun in the night in the cab.
Fantastic hotel and well worth the five stars.

Have just come back from Gold City in Alanya, what an amazing complex. Everything you could possibly need on one site. Everything was very clean and tidy, apartment superb and cleaned to high standard regularly. Food was very good, although some restaurants were closed because we were out of season. Staff were very friendly and most were helpful( especially the bar and restaurant manager Ibrahim Sar). Shuttle service to beach and the town excellent. Everything in supermarket you need. Have been going to Alanya for the past 15 years and this was by far the best accomdodation we have stayed in. Will most definately be going back next year in high season and taking the whole family, including grandchildren. Plenty for children to do. Absolutely loved this place!!!

“Amazing!”

Gold City is the best hotel I have ever stayed at, the hotel is beautiful, the food is amazing, the rooms are lovely (maid service is great). The receptionists and waiters, everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle service from the hotel to both the beach and Alanya which is free and really a great help. When shopping in Alanya or doing water sports, you can usually get the price down by 50% their original offer, so if they say no just keep going. Food in Alanya restorants is great, everywhere is very clean. The hotel has cinema which is great and mini golf, tennis, water slides, it really just has everything. The best is the spa which is free, there is an indoor pool which is heated and has the most amazing views of the mountains and the beach. I have never seen a more beautiful place. Only thing i was sad about was that there is only one bar which is the lobby bar where you can get all inclusive drinks and this ends at 11pm (the other bars you pay and it is expensive) also the bar on the top of the hotel outside closes in begging of October which is sad. All inclusive is great you get breakfast, lunch, snacks (which also include meals) and dinner, plus drinks.
Overall, best place I have ever been, lots to do.
Its also a very loooong drive from the airport, took us 4 hours both coming and going back, my advice is when your booking the holiday chose the taxi option, apparently this should only take an hour depending on traffic.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!
