I travelled with my 14 year old daughter and 13 year old son. We arrived in antalya in in mid October 2011, We were taken to a minibus which only had 6 other people in it with us, so it was lovely and cosey. When we arrived at the hotel we were taken to our challet room in the forest, by a golf buggy which was fun, then we went and ate in the 24 hour restaraunt. The scenery around our room/challet was lovely and close to the main hotel and pools.
Food: Over the two weeks we found the food in the main restaraunt was brilliant and we had plenty of choice. We tried the mexican, turkish, chinese and italian which was our favourite. If you didnt like food in the a la carte restaraunts you could always go back into the main restaraunt which was nice. We never had any problems booking the a la carte restaraunts. There was a huge choice of ice-creams and ice-lollys for example magnums, cornettos, callipos etc, was nice for the kids. The beach bar restaraunt had nice lunch time food, like chicken, kebab, burgers and a salad bar. On a night, before we watched the enteratinment we sat in the tea room and tried different teas.
We sunbathed around the playing field area near the over 16's pool as you had the sun all day, and it was also close to the beach. We did sunbath on the pier a couple of times and the waiters were happy to bring drinks. My childrens school have different holidays so when we went, there were only 6 other English families there, everyone seemed to be Russian or German!, So we didnt really make any friends.
Activities+Entertainment: At the end of the pier it was good for snorkeling. The slides were good fun, but the water in the pools seemed colder than the sea. My two children went and did parasailing which they really enjoyed, they went up together and had a good 20 minutes up there. The arcade was good, and they had a bowling alley. But the only fault was that the cinema never had any films playing. The shows were a lot of fun, but make sure you get a cushion to sit on as the ampitheatre was hard to sit down on. The gym and spa was great! It had a indoor swimming pool, lots of gym equiptment, turkish bath, sauna and steam room. I also payed for a massage which was very relaxing. On an evening we sat in the patisserie as it had a good bar with lots of different international drinks and had wifi.
Weather: The weather was lovely when we went apart from one of the days when it rained but there was plenty to do inside the hotel. The weather at night did go off very cold! And my daughter only brought shorts, vests and dresses so she was very cold so we didnt seem to stay out for long. But in the italian restaraunt the waiter gave my children a blanket each.
Side+Mangavat: One of the days we went to Mangavat market which was huge! And the best place to buy presents as it was cheaper than Side. Another day we went to Side to see the ruins and have a look around the shops. It took ages to catch a bus outside the hotel so we ended up taking a taxi to the market.
The room, hotel, and grounds were very clean. There were lots of cats as well, but they were all very friendly and more like house cats than wild ones. Our journey home was fine and we didnt have to wait long for our minibus.
Overall the hotel was brilliant and we really enjoyed our stay, and would defenitley reccomend it to anyone.
