“Very convenient hotel to relax”

I am glad we chose this hotel! Rooms are not that special, but: position is calm, beach and pools are great, food is very good in terms of variety and quality, many activities if you like it active or just relax by the water and above all, very good child facilities. That is definetely an important advantage of the hotel: beautiful kids and baby club (separate) and special kids buffet in the kids club! Our kids loved it and we are really satisfied with the staff there! We were pleased with the polite staff allover the hotel, but special thanx to the kids caretakers who were really great!!!!

“I Needn't Had Worried..!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

After having read some reviews a couple of days before travelling this mid september i was somewhat under mixed feelings as how this was going to turn out, As Other reviewers Slammed this Place to the ground a bit to much than what it really is. Firstly The rooms, Although i have not been in any other rooms to see what they was like..Mine i feel was a little somewhat ( And im sure the General Manager Mr George Barelier has heard this many times before) Dated and Tired it was more than Adequate for my needs. (But don't get me wrong, I have have stayed in worse in my own country). Though the space was more than adequate for myself and having the bonus of 2 balconies (Although the bigger of the two faced the other block, the smaller had a view of the beach which could comfortably seat 2 people). The bed i thought personally was fine but thats my own opinion as i can virtually sleep on anything be it Hard or Soft, I was somewhat surprised to find the room carpeted as being that i have travelled & Stayed at many places throughout the greek islands, yet this is the 1st place i have stayed where the room has been carpeted rather than tiled, But this is a big Complex so there are maybe a lot of other more important that take higher priority than guest being just picky. To end this section about the room though...Who goes on holiday just to sit in a room..? I Don't..!! Its just somewhere to get your head down for the night, Have a shower before heading out for the Day or Evening. and to be Honest i think people enjoyed themselves so much (More So the Full Boarders) i don't think they was really bothered about the Decor.

Now on to the business of Food. Some Reviewers have stated that there isn't much choice and is pretty much the same day in day out....??? RUBBISH..!!!
You will probably find that these are people that Go up with there plates and Have a good helping of literally Everything. Yes i did come across some items that was served up but they did differ slightly from the previous night. The items that were more so repetitive which i think other reviewers picked on was the rice, and your usual vegetables. But you need these to go with the different nightly dishes which did differ from what i could see on a nightly basis.
Breakfast, there was a Pretty much standard selection Each morning, but you Don't have to take & eat everything thats in each Serving plate every morning, So Again "Picky Reviewer" Springs to mind.
However There is one thing that may be worth the hotel looking into and thats were there are some mentions of the food being lukewarm, i think this is partly down to the platters the food is served up in, when the food is first served up it will be hot, but you will get the condensation forming at the top of the lids and after a few times when the lids have been opened and closed again (and i did notice that most people closed them with a bang) The condensation is more than likely coming down on to the food thus making it cooler & Possibly Soggier that bit Quicker...But Again that is my Personal opinion as to the way i see it.

The Grounds....Very Lush and well Kept Places to sit and watch the world go by More so by the fountains.

Activities....Plenty Going and the staff do try to get people involved, Especially the guy that does the Volley Ball. I did notice that people sort of looked and hovered around by the court on the beach but was to reserved to ask about it but the guy that does it soon got them involved and soon got a short group game going in which more people soon joined in to get a full on out & out match going, Got some good Pic's of one match too..!!! So if management read this please give the Volley Ball Guy some credit for working at his job and getting the guests involved in some fun..!!!!

Finally the Staff..I never had any interaction with the General Manager Mr George Barelier Nor did i really with the reception staff, although on one account there was a case of a communication Misunderstanding between myself and a maid which was rectified the following day once Mentioned to the reception the previous evening on my return to my room. So it would be unfair to comment on these departments anymore.

Dining Room Host's....These people work Bloody Hard and are constantly on the go from start to finish and being what some guest i noticed were like towards them, How they manage to Keep Smiling and carry on is beyond me.

Bar Staff...I never used any of the other bars but spent most evenings at the Lobby Bar, Like the dining room staff They are Constantly on the go all night long, The Waiter (Thanos) & Waitresses (Lenka, Maria and the other girls who's names escape me) must be bloody Knackered at the end of each night with all the running about they do, which is supported by Three main members of bar staff (Mike, Aphrodite & Klio) Who keep the drinks flowing all night long, And again if General Manager Mr George Barelier reads this, Please pass on my Thanks to Mike & Staff for There Attentive and somewhat Humorous Service and for letting me take the odd picture of them whilst they was working....All the members of staff listed above Named or Not, are a credit to the Hotel and would be a shame if they was thought of otherwise, I did notice that some people who reviewed this hotel was under the impression that staff Ignored & was in some cases spoken to rudely, I did not come across this in my experience here but i did notice there can be a frequent misunderstanding because of the language Barrier and again they are very, very busy and may take a little while to get seen too, But again this is my personal opinion and also with the review i have written should not be taken literally as everybody is treated differently and entitled to there own opinion.

Overall, i Had an enjoyable Stay here it was a shame i couldn't stay any longer and as i didn't get to see santorini this time round, I Would use this hotel as a base again when the time allows me to return..!!!

“Very nice but not a 5* hotel”

Went with family for my husbands 50th birthday last week in October. Totally agree with the previous review about the hotel closing down. Please thomson make a point of letting people know this at the time of booking. Everywhere was indeed kept very clean at all times. Our room was to small for three adults. Again a disappointment as I did email the hotel regarding our rooom, but had no reply.
Finally my husbands 50th birthday was not acknowledged at all and this was a special occasion.
I am sure during the summer season this is a very good hotel/resort.

“Great hotel, friendly staff, good facilities and wonderful catering”

We went to this hotel in October. Weather wasn't great so limited some of our activities, however hotel was first rate. When we checked in after 2200 hrs, the staff had kept the restaurant open for us so we could have an evening meal (we had booked half-board). We were provided with a room upgrade free of charge and while we ate, our cases were taken to our room.

Hotel facilities were excellent with four swimming pools (including one indoor pool), gym, sauna, tennis, water sports etc etc.

Catering was first rate. The breakfasts just couldn't be faulted and the fresh orange juicing machine produced the most delicious juice. A big range of different foods to cater for all tastes.

Evening meal was also well done. Loads to choose from and good variety from one evening to the next.

Staff were uniformly very friendly.

Room was comfortable, and well maintained. Our room was a juior suite with exit straight on to a private sun lounging area and direct access to the beach. Listening to the sound of waves was a delightful way to drift off to sleep.

One of the best holiday hotels I have visited, and I have been to a lot of places around the world.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the beach. Try one of the junior suites.

“But don't go the last week in October!!”

Friendly, helpful, multi-lingual staff, clean rooms and spacious grounds. Just returned from a week here, we were really looking forward to all the daytime activities and entertainment listed in the Thomson brochure but it soon became evident that the hotel was closing down for the end of the Summer season. The water sports had ended before we arrived, there were no dance, cooking or language lessons, the jewellers closed on Thursday, the taverna closed on Wednesday, the supermarket shelves were emptying and then the clothes shop closed on Saturday. The evening entertainment was limited to one belly dancer show and the house band on 4 evenings in the lobby bar. We were told that things in Greece start to shut down but did not expect to see it happening actually at the hotel as we were staying there. Even the sun loungers around the pool were being collected on the Saturday as people were trying to relax there.

Room Tip: Garden bungalow room 161 is a good room. There are some beach front rooms with pool.
