“Excellent value for money, family friendly hotel.”

Stayed for 2 weeks early September 2011 and was not disappointed. Hotel was excellent value for money, with rooms cleaned daily, with good air-conditioning and fridge in room for the baby's milk. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good continental style selection plus and endless supply of coffee. The grounds of the hotel were well maintained and very clean, especially the gardens - the only downside being the tennis court and kids playground....both of which had seen better days. The pools were great, again really well maintained and clean with a good small bar area, and baby pool was spot on for my 3yr old and 1yr old....who loved it. Would strongly consider going back in the near future.

Room Tip: We requested two rooms adjacent on the ground floor, which was really good as it meant we could stro...

“Lovely Hotel!”

We stayed at the Kalloni Bay Hotel in September 2011 and had a great time. The family feel of the hotel was a bonus. The staff couldn't do enough for you and always had a smile for you. The bedrooms were a good size and we chose a sea view on the first floor which I would recommend. The beds were comfortable, the room had a fridge but you need to take your own kettle! Breakfast was more than ample with great choice for everyone.
We stayed around the pool during the day and it was very peaceful, with comfortable beds and parasols.
I would recommend the fantastic Diana’s gift shop in the resort where you can spend time and money, and enjoy its air conditioning! Many of the gifts are made by Diana herself.
The hotel was far better than the resort which despite its good tavernas and bars is spoilt by the increasing number of dogs who hang around them. There were the holiday makers who encouraged them by feeding them at their tables. Something needs to be done before I would return to this resort which is a shame because this hotel is definitely worth another visit.

Room Tip: Choose a first floor room with a sea view

The Kalloni Bay Hotel is the friendliness value for money hotel we have ever stayed in.
From moment we arrived the staff were fantastic!!!.
The hotel pool is excellent which has a very very good bar with opens from 11am to very late,Costa the bar in the evening really looks after the customers.
The breakfasts are really good lots to choose from.
The location of the hotel is perfect a short walk to plenty of bars.
We will return.

“LOVED IT”

We stayed here in June 2011, what a lovely hotel, staff friendly and worked very hard to make it such a lovely place to stay. The rooms were kept very very clean and the little lady who cleaned the rooms, was such a hard working soul. The pool was one of the largest that we have ever had in Greek and that was kept clean. The gardens were well kept. Food and snacks here were also very good. Would I come to this hotel again - most definately

“Great Break”

We stayed at the Kalloni Bay at the end of July and couldn't have wished for a better holiday after an extremely stressful 6 months.

The hotel was far better than we had expected from what we had read in the brochures and on the internet. We were in room 110 and although the bathroom could have done with some updating it was more than adequate for our needs and better than many we have had in Greece. The room itself was lovely and even though it did not face the sea, the views of the gardens were very pleasant. All the public areas including the pool were kept beautifully clean and tidy. We enjoyed our breakfasts and even when it was busy we were able to sit outside in the fresh air. We had dinner on a couple of occasions and enjoyed both the food and the service.

What really made our stay was the staff all of whom, whether they could speak English or not, were always cheerful and pleasant to us. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all clearly committed to us enjoying our stay..

It was really nice to see the owners very “hands on” approach to the running of the hotel and our thanks are due to them for creating the hotel in the first place.

We appreciated the availability of the safe deposit boxes although we could find no mention of them before we travelled. We feel that they are a plus point for the hotel. It was also very helpful to have a free WiFi internet connection available.

The hotel is quite literally "just across the road" from the beach where we spent most of our days in the company of "Ron and Beryl" the ex-pats with their sunbed business (6 euros a day including all the extras). They even have an arrangement with a local restaurant to deliver food and drink to your sunbed. The sea at Skala Kalloni is very safe and the sandy beach slopes very gently. The sea bed is largely covered with sea grass but this was not a problem (much more pleasant in our opinion than the stones at Molovos).

The town of Skala Kalloni is close by (an easy walk even after a few ouzos) and is typically Greek with a square surrounded by Tavernas, all giving excellent service and food. The Ice Cream parlour, Pagatellis, was a must for us almost every night and Diana's gifts was full of interesting items that were so good we could easily have wrecked our budget!

We did hire a car for two days to visit the "Petrified Forest" museum at Sigri (an excellent experience) and to visit some of the beaches on the West Coast of Lesbos but we were frankly very happy with our choice of Skala Kalloni.
