“A Very Pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

My family and I stayed at the St. George in Paros for 2 nights recently and the experience was a very pleasant one. Friendly staff, a great beachfront location and perfect weather made the trip worthwhile. You will need to rent a car to visit the island but the hotel with its attractive pool setting and beachfront at your footsteps makes you want to simply stay on the grounds the entire stay. Rooms come with seaview balconies and one of our favorite parts of the trip was having breakfast delivered to the room on the balcony. A worthwhile visit!

“Exceptional”

We are a young couple and have visited already twice this hotel. The rooms have plenty of space, and if you have one with a sea view, then it's really magic!!! There is no crowded street in front of the hotel so it's really quiet during the whole day. The beach in front of the hotel is phantastic! Breakfast is also rich and fresh! People at the reception are very kind and helpful. The only negativ point is that you need a car to reach the hotel, as it's not close to the main city of Paroikia and second that it's expensive.

“Relaxed setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2010

Accommodations are very good, not great, but setting is excellent. Very relaxed with a very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant at the hotel is very good and the manager is excellent, so eat there at least one night or go for drinks and desserts for an enjoyable evening. You will want to rent a car to explore the island's other beaches and small towns, which are varied and offer different scenery/eating/shopping experiences. Very easy to get around since all signs are in English as well. Just ask the staff for restaurant and beach ideas and they will send you to the best (there are plenty). Naoussa is a must stop for dinner in the port. A day trip to Antiparos and dinner in Lefkes would also be recommended.

“Great Hotel, Great island”

My partner & I stayed at Saint George Hotel, Paros for 4 nights & was just perfect! Its a quiet hotel located 20/30 mins away from the main town Naoussa. But that was fine we hired a quad bike (everyone drives these on the islands, or you can hire a car/scooter). Hiring the quad bike was the best experience of the island as you could stop and take pictures anywhere you liked, parked it closer to the shops than cars and most of all it was actually a blessing in disguies not being right near the town of Naoussa as you can see the landscapes and sunsets on your way into the town...amazing!

When we arrived at the hotel the reception staff was happy and helpful and told us all the information on what to do on the island, what were the best beaches, cafes, restaurants etc...

The room was neat, simple and clean but a lot of mosquitos though! There was cable Tv, nice view from our balcony and a nice bathroom too. The beds are a little hard, but you get over it! The pool bar are great they do fresh juices, frappes, coffees and cocktails.
The food at the hotel was great! One of the staff asked if we were eating at the hotel that particular night (helps when your partner is Greek :)) because he was going out fishing and was serving fresh fish that night. Had to have been the best (puffer fish) fish i have ever eaten! it was that good!
The view is amazing, the pool overlooks the hotels beach where you can always see the wind surfers.
Overall i would recommend this hotel to a friend. If your after Night life and big Parties Paros island isnt for you. If you want a relaxed, chilled and fun holiday and dont mind a 20 min drive to town then Saint George is a great hotel option!!

“Perfect Hotel if you want to relax and explore Paros Island (our stay: 7 days)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2009

Staying at the St George Hotel was the best decision we could have made for our holiday in Paros!
Before getting there we advised the hotel we would be arriving at 7am (only flight to Paros that week, but there are ferries to/from Athens as well) and asked whether this would be a problem. We were told not to worry and upon arrival everything was taken care of - our spacious oceanview room was clean and ready for us at no extra charge for the day and we were even offered complimentary breakfast.

The hotel has a lovely pool of a good size with a bar/restaurant - in the evening there was a choice of a la carte or buffet. Food overall was fantastic and even though it was low season restaurants nearby were still open. The beach is right at the hotel (across a small road, very very very little traffic). Because it was September, it was very windy most of the time, but this was a very welcome breeze as it was still very hot. With regard to the hotel beach, we discovered it was slightly less windy with a bit finer sand than the beach at nearby Drios, so a big plus when you go in the windy season.

Speaking of nearby: Yes, St George is somewhere off the hustle and bustle of the three major towns Lefkes, Naousa and Parikia. f you want nightlife, crowds and waterparks, this might not be for you unless you want to drive. Even nearby Drios is hardly a big town (at least not in low season), but walking there takes only about 20 minutes.
For 7 days on the Island it was perfect that there were only three cities as we could visit all of them without having the impression we missed something. There are bus services on the island and the hotel was very helpful with telling us rightaway about where the bus stops are, how frequent the buses go and how to purchase tickets in advance (as you cannot buy tickets on the bus).

If you are looking for a weeklong(ish) holiday where you can relax and visit other towns and go sightseeing, enjoy great food and wine, have a beach, a pool and a choice of restaurants nearby, then St George Hotel in Paros is for you. We had the right amount of relaxation and sightseeing combined in 7 days. We weren't interested in nightlife for this holiday, therefore we were very glad not having stayed in either of the bigger towns after visiting them.

A truly perfect holiday, thank you St George Hotel!
