I forgot to do a review from my stay last year and was looking the hotel up for another stay this yr. You can talk to the owner W/O much trouble at all. Clean and you have great people as owners that will help you any way they can!
Above avg. for the price, great beach right down the road.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 7 days in June 2008. We got the room for a really good price. We didnt expect much but was pleasently surprised. The hotel is run by a really friendly couple who although dont speak a massive amount of English they are really nice and make you feel welcome. We ordered food there a couple of times and it was OK. The breakfast buffet consisted of Tea/Coffee, orange juice, ham, cheese,bread, hard boiled eggs, slices of sponge cake?, yoghurt, honey and biscuits. The pool is great and the air con a must. It has 2 PC's downstairs with internet and only charge 1euro and hour! We would defo stay their again given the chance.

Hotel Handakas, Amoudara, Crete, Greece
I recently returned from spending 2 weeks at this family-run hotel. The food was excellent and cooked by the hotel owner, Dimitris. The family atmosphere and friendly, accomodating staff made my stay pleasant and an excellent value for the price. The pool area and the entire facility were exceptionaly clean and well kept. It is a short distance from the main street in Amoudara so there were no sounds of "scooters" at all hours. If I return to CreteI I would not hesitate to stay there another time.

We stayed at this Hotel for a couple of nights last week 15/06/08 17/06/08 we found it to be a little tired. The owners were I have to say very friendly and helpful The Buffet breakfast was a little limited , but overall we quite enjoyed our stay As it was a very reasonable price.
