This place was once a stopping point for pilgrims on one of the paths to Santiago de Compostela. Today it is a hotel set in beautiful terraced grounds and with great views over the neighbouring countryside and river. The rooms are somewhat basic but very comfortable and with good free wi-fi. The table d'hote dinner was very good but the buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. I recommend it especially for a romantic getaway.
Room Tip: Families might prefer the newer rooms but my companion and I had an older room with a large veranda...
