the hotel is old,our room was small with a balcony for one,the breakfast was very poor.the only good i have to say is nice location.

We spent a fabulous four days here and how we wished we could have stayed longer ...possibly forever!
The staff were wonderful - espcially Adi who made our stay so perfect with her kindness and invaluable advice and help.
We hired a car very reasonably and she aranged for it to be delivered and picked up right to the hotel, then helped us out planning and giving us directions to all the local sights etc. She really made our hotel extra special - thanks Adi!

The rooms were the best I have ever stayed in on the greek islands.
We had a lovely balcony with sea and mountain views that took our breath away every morning.
The breakfasts were lovely and very varied with everything you could want.

We did have dinner there one night and while it was very nice there are so many great restaurants within easy driving reach we chose to eat elsewhere after that.

The pool was large, quiet, romantic with no shortage of pool loungers and a lovely
shady roofed area covered with bouganvilla with table tennis, snooker etc. They also have a fab giant chess game which we orverlooked from the window in our room.

The hotel offers free bus service to the capital (Argostoli )which is about a scenic 20min journey away. They also had another bus trip but I can't remember where that went to.

So all in all I would totally recommend anyone who had the chance to visit here -I think we paid about 36 euros per night for a double room (internet booked) incl breakfast.

The staff were great, the pool with its spellbinding views of the mountains and sea, nice rooms, nice bathrooms, super extras, romantic, relaxing, welcoming and quiet atmosphere, spectacular scenery, great location, - if you hire a car and super breakfasts all at a tiny price.

We simply didn't want to leave - and can't wait to go back!!!

Just returned from my holidays back into freezing Melbourne so I thought I better do a quick review of KBH.

Karavados BH is a very nice hotel where you can relax and feel comfortable just like being home. Internet access is free in the lobby and it was very handy to have this service. The bedroom was big and clean for two people and was daily cleaned.
The staff are so friendly and helpful. Heaps of parking spaces for your vehicle.
Located not too far from the hotel is St Thomas beach, you could actually walk the distance..

Would I recommend this hotel.....??..Lets just say I will be returning to this place on my next visit....... John (Melbourne Australia)

We have just arrived back from staying at Karavados Beach hotel for a week. Our room was clean and a reasonable size, all rooms have a small balcony. I enjoyed the breakfasts, which gave a good choice of bread, cakes, honey, yoghart, cereals, cheese, meats, tea, coffee etc. Air conditioning is charged at 6 euros per day, but as it was boiling hot when we were there it was needed! There were not very many guests here, so the hotel was very quiet, especially in the evenings. I would reccommend not to go half board as there are some fantastic places around to eat. Just down the hill (about 5 - 10 mins walk) you get to a beautiful little beach (walk around the corner to find an even better one - great for snorkling!) At the side of the beach are 2 places to eat - one is open through the day which serves a fantastic greek salad. On the other side is my favourite place to eat of the whole holiday - it opens at 6 right through to midnight and is a must - the swordfish is fantastic and the guy that runs it is very friendly. We hired a car for the week and if you are the type that wants to go off exploring rather than staying around the hotel then it is a must - the island is easy to drive around, with lots of great beaches and places to visit inclusing Asos, which is stunning. We had a fantastic time in Kefalonia and loved the quiet relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. However if you want to be closer to more bars and places to eat, somewhere like Lordas is still relaxed but more busy, with more places to eat. - But if you have a car you can visit a place like this in around 10 mins. You can use the hotel computer with internet for 1 euro 50 for half an hour.
