We really liked Dva Baladura, helpful staff and beautifully looked after. Excellent centre from which to explore Istria.

This site has been a fantastic surprise. Nice location in centre-south Istria, from where you can easily access the mayor visiting sites of the Peninsula and just few km away from Rovigno. Very quite due to its countryside position, full relax is assured. Common areas are amazing, including swimming pool, outdoor restaurant, several plants in the wonderful garden. Service is nice, people with friendly style and well organized. We had 2+2 apartment and it was good. All amenities working properly such as a/c, heater, kitchen corner. Food was ok even if breakfast variety may be improved. It's definitely a perfect location to visit the region and I highly suggest it to couples as well as to families.

We did not stay here, but it looks absolutely charming, a wonderfully restored old stone house.
But we did wander in one afternoon by accident, starving and a bit tired after a long drive. It was heaven.
We sat out on the open air terrace and had a lovely local white wine. Then we had a wonderful fresh salad with home made bread, and then an omelet with truffles and pasta with truffles. The food was absolutely terrific and one of the best meals we had on a 3 week trip.
This is a restaurant that is definitely worth a stop if you are touring around Istria.In fact I would plan the entire day around a brunch/lunch or dinner stop here.
The owner is charming and friendly and provides excellent service.
While not inexpensive, it is definitely worth every penny, just sit back and luxuriate in the setting and the food and the charm. We did.

The Baladura is absolutely fab. It's about 8 miles inland from Rovinj, in a very rural situation. Easy to get to, quite near a road, but this is not in any way intrusive. A beautiful range of buildings, excellently presented & finished. Very nice people, friendly & helpful. The owner lives in a cottage, which is part of Baladura. Very spcious and well kitted apartments. Lovely terraces, places to sit and pool. A brilliant restaurant, very good food. Great walks around and about. Villages and lots to see nearby. Rovinj is an easy drive (it's fab too).

Overall this is about as good as it gets, if you want peace, good service & surroundings, a lovely place nearby and more. No village or town within walking distance, so you need a car, but it's easy.

We spent a week there and loved it.
