We did not stay here, but it looks absolutely charming, a wonderfully restored old stone house.
But we did wander in one afternoon by accident, starving and a bit tired after a long drive. It was heaven.
We sat out on the open air terrace and had a lovely local white wine. Then we had a wonderful fresh salad with home made bread, and then an omelet with truffles and pasta with truffles. The food was absolutely terrific and one of the best meals we had on a 3 week trip.
This is a restaurant that is definitely worth a stop if you are touring around Istria.In fact I would plan the entire day around a brunch/lunch or dinner stop here.
The owner is charming and friendly and provides excellent service.
While not inexpensive, it is definitely worth every penny, just sit back and luxuriate in the setting and the food and the charm. We did.

The Baladura is absolutely fab. It's about 8 miles inland from Rovinj, in a very rural situation. Easy to get to, quite near a road, but this is not in any way intrusive. A beautiful range of buildings, excellently presented & finished. Very nice people, friendly & helpful. The owner lives in a cottage, which is part of Baladura. Very spcious and well kitted apartments. Lovely terraces, places to sit and pool. A brilliant restaurant, very good food. Great walks around and about. Villages and lots to see nearby. Rovinj is an easy drive (it's fab too).

Overall this is about as good as it gets, if you want peace, good service & surroundings, a lovely place nearby and more. No village or town within walking distance, so you need a car, but it's easy.

Stayed at this beautiful small hotel for a week. The staff were very friendly despite their lack of english and our lack of croat!
Every single member of staff came to say goodbye to us on the last day - even the maids- and the owner refused to accept payment for our last round of drinks.
Our double room was small but clean and had great bathroom. Air conditioning worked well.
The hotel is like a large tuscan villa , with a terrace covered in vines and figs trees. We ate dinner in the hotel a couple of times and food was good, with a germanic slant. There are so many places to eat in Rovinj that B and B is a good choice.
Only down side was the hotel is basically in the middle of no where. There is no local shop or village to walk to. Infact we could find no walks from the hotel as it is off a recently built express road. The roads are good so car hire would be a good option.
The hotel is 20 mins from Rovinj which we went to daily. We used the local bus which runs til evening and was always on time.
Rovinj is a magical place very very romantic and picturesque. Cobbled narrow streets with wonderful resteraunts and cafes tucked away. We watched the sun set in the evenings over the habour from the many bars along the front. Cannot wait to return.
With the pound so weak against the euro it also makes croatia great value for money.

We have just returned from a stay at this hotel. We planned our holiday staying in Slovenia for 10 days around Lake Bled and then drove ( about 4 hours) for our week at the coast in northern Croatia. We found this hotel on the internet and booked directly. As a family of four ( two children - ages 16 and 8 years) we stayed in a two bedroom appartment for four and would really recommend it. Rovinj is beautiful particularly around the old streets near the church. The marina area was a bit too busy for us.

Dva Baladura is a great place to stay in to visit this area. Very peaceful but easy to access all the areas of interest. With temperatures above 30 degrees we really appreciated returning to the pool at the end of a day sightseeing or indeed spent some days just lazing by the pool. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and found the food to be of a very high standard.

Staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The appartments were excellent. Seperately regulated air conditioning for each bedroom and the living area. Good beds and good shower. Kitchen facilities limited to a fridge and two plates on an electric hob. Occasionally we supllemented our own food with additional items deleivered to our appartment by the restaurant.

You do need a car to stay here and visit Rovinj as nothing in immediate vicinity but this is part of its appeal. We did wish at some points that we had our own balcony or terrace for our rooms but in fact this was a very minor issue as there were so many shaded seating areas around. There was plenty of shade by the pool too.

All in all would thoroughly recommend it!
