it was a good vacation in august , we spent 12 days there .... you have chance to relax an d have fun too, i wish there was some more animation in the morning (i missed that) the food was not the best i have ate but it was ok . the rooms were ok too large enough and comfortable too. I liked the personel very much they smiled and served you whenever you wanted
We stay in this hotel in May of 2010. It was really good hotel and I would like to recommend it to other :)
Staff was lovely, professional. They working hard but always with smile in the face :)
Rooms clean;
Animators also working very good. All day and evening a lot of different programs;
We stayed at the Asdem Beach not because of a weighted decision, but because a very limited choice from the travel agent (we decided to escape Moscow heat on Sunday, and on Tuesday we were already on the plane). We got a very good price for the high season ($350 per person for 3 nights, including flight from Moscow and back and transfer to the hotel), so I can say it worth that money :)
Pros:
- 2 min walk from the beach through the hotel's territory
- Good sea and clean beach
- Not a bad food
- Good Spa
- Free Wi-Fi
Cons:
- Rooms definitely need renovation
- Service in restaurant is awful - it took me 10 minutes to find someone who speaks English to buy a bottle of wine for the dinner
- Wi-Fi hot spot is only at the lobby
To recap - I would call it a good 3 star hotel - absolutely no complains in that case. Nevertheless, we had a good rest there.
Overall, the administration did not succeed to ruine our holydays completely but they definitely tryed hard to do that. It looks like we were in some different place then the other reviewers. Definitely Asdem beach is the worst hotel out of five I stayed in Tutkey. First of all they are averitized as five star all inclusive hotel; however, they are three star at most and the "all inclusive" is a fiction. For example, the ice creem is not included and what do kids want most in August by the pool? The only a-la-carte restaurant is available once a stay only, but nobody will tell you that in advance. After 11 pm you will pay for everything and the price will be high. The drinks are local and low quality. The animators are amatures at best. However these are the least important things.
Worst of all, they switch off the air conditioning at night in the whole hotel, and in mid August the temperature outside is above 40 C! Our baby could not sleep at night in such climate and the only thing I heard from the administration was that this is the way they run the hotel and that everybody else is happy. Well, everybody I spoke about that wasn't happy at all, but those who complained got the same answer. The staff is rude and incompetent, especially the woman called Elena at the registration desk and the deputy manager. In Asdem beach they don't clean the rooms at all!!! At best, they will change towels and take out the garbage but only if you will go to the registration desk and complain. Our frends stayed for 7 nights amd haven't got the room "cleaned" even once. They just managed to take the towels from the cart by themselves and took the garbage out by themself too. At the restaurant you have to look for the cutlery and clean and arrange your tabel by yourself, and you will have to wait for a free table too. By the way, the cutlery is not always available.
The prices for extras is very high. For example, we payed for one-minute local call from the reception 4$, they asked 200$ from us for late check-out (till 4 pm instead of noon) and so on. So stay away from this hotel. There are many really good and even excellent places to stay in Turkey. Watch yourself!
