“WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN !!”

On 29th Sept 2011 myself & my boyfriend arrived at this hotel at around 3am! FIRST IMPRESSIONS......EXCELLENT! Even at 3am the hotel looks wonderful, staff really helpful, hotel room - MASSIVE, air con on...REALLY CLEAN AND TIDY!
Next morning......down to the bar.....cocktails at the ready! pool is AMAZING, BEACH AND PIER ARE AMAZING! SEA IS LOVELY! so many places to get a drink/food! THE STAFF ARE AMAZING!!! HOW CAN PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE RUDE? FOR THE WHOLE 14 DAYS WE WERE THERE THEY CHATTED, JOKED, AND HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH US - I SUPPOSE IT'S THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY - IF YOU ARE RUDE TO THE STAFF THEN THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE DAMN WELL RUDE BACK TO YOU!

MAKE SURE YOU GO TO EVERY RESTAURANT - We both agreed the "fish restaurant" is divine! bottles of wine when you wanted it, constant supplies of food, alcohol and coffee! put loads of weight on! *ONE TIP* - DO NOT GO TO THE TURKISH BATH IN KEMER - you will hate it! go to the spa in the hotel itself - it is a little bit more pricey but its worth it! DO NOT GO TO TURKISH BATHS ANYWHERE ELSE - YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!

Go shopping to Antalya & Kemer, sit by the pool from 9am-6am, drink every cocktail off the menu (staff even created my very own cocktail), try every food they offer, go jet skiing on the beach, sit with the cats, talk to the Turkish people, try the smoke pipes, drink Turkish tea, go to the indoor spa and pool, have a sauna, get ready in a fab hotel room, and go down to a dinner in a beautiful restaurant where as soon as you finish your drink the waiter will re-fill it for you! Visit the old lady in her hut on the side of the hotel where she will make you free Turkish wraps - TIP HER - she sits there for 6 hours a day in the boiling heat making you fresh Turkish delicacies!

I CANNOT EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW DAMN PERFECT THIS PLACE IS!! PLEASE PLEASE GO, IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS - THAT LOT DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY ARE CHATTING ABOUT! ITS PARADISE!

Massive thanks to the staff at the hotel, we will be back, but next time it will be for THREE weeks!

“summer in Turkey”

I was in Turkey, at hotel Fantasia last summer, with my family. Everything was perfect. Food excellent, rooms are nice, though not all with views of the sea, but clean , towels changed everyday, and every other day bed linen. The staff is friendly. Especially I recommend for families with young children, becouse of the water slides, mini club, entertainment, park on the beach. We spent ten wonderful days in the Mediterranean Sea, and we hope this year also. Thank you!

“Good hotel but poor kitchen”

Well, by reading the other comments, I am in doubt, if we visited the same hotel. We visited the Fantasia de Luxe in Nov 2011.
Let’s start with the positives. The hotel looks great, it has a great pool landscape, an own beach (but stone), and apart from the sanitary parts, it is really clean. It lays close to Kemer, from the airport approx. an hour by cap and with the local buses one gets fastly to Kemer and Antalya. The staff is nice, speaks good English and perfect German, the only thing, whiches sometimes had to be expressed more than once. The indoor pool was the first days wonderful warm and the hotel has a nice sauna.
The reason why we would not visit the hotel again was the food, thats also why I can not agree on the other comments. I am a student and I would not consider myself as culinary spoiled. The hotel had a really really high variety on things, fruits, vegetables, everything one could which. Sounds nice, but the problem was the quality. In principle every dish was sticky, too soft , did not had taste and was from really low quality. I did not expected that a hotel can offer something like that. Ok, maybe its not possible to offer better food in such a big hotel compared to the normal 2-3star hotels in central Europe where we are usually going. I don’t know. But quality was not the biggest issue, during the week most of my other travel mates had problems with digestion and on toilet. Till day 5, this also was not such a big deal, but then I had to go by ambulance to the hospital staying there 2 days because of severe food poisoning. Also my mom and my girl friend got sick the next days. Since I spent time exclusively in hotel and only consumed hotel food and also the other had the same problems, I think quality was not the only issue but also hygiene.
Well there have been some other minor issues. E.g. the one, that after my return from hospital the liquid releases from sickness haven’t been removed from the sheets and the toilets (sheets with yellow and brownish marks just were out in order). Noticing at home how infective the bug was that we caught, I am wondering if the one getting into our room after us, still had a nice vacation.
In the moment we at least hope that our medical costs will be refunded.
So finally I would not visit the hotel again and I also can not recommend it.

“Great place would definitely go again.”

Rather disappointed to read some of the reviews. I stayed at the hotel for a week towards the end of September. I'm a single mum and went with my 3 year old daughter. Being the first time we've gone alone, I was naturally apprehensive. However from the moment I arrived I was greeted with nothing but extremely helpful and wonderful staff.

Room

Our room was standard but big and very clean. It was cleaned everyday and the staff would even put my little girls teddys on the pillow for when we returned. The bathroom had clean towels everyday and the minibar was stocked everyday. I only had to tell them once that I didn't drink and they remembered not to put efes in.

Food

We mainly stuck to the buffet. Was incredibly impressed with the food and the variety they had everyday. I loved the way salads and sweets all had different areas and wasn't all mixed in together as I'd seen in previous hotels. The food was always hot and plentiful. Staff would always ask if they could carry my plate as they'd see me struggling with bags plates and a toddler :)) they would even keep an eye on my little one if I went to get something. One night when she was over tired and wouldn't eat, one of the waiters said he'd saved her some food for later. When we returned to our room there was all the things she liked on a massive tray with her favorite apple juice.

There was never a shortage of food (great when you have toddler with you!) and I never saw any cats near the food. I have absolutely no complaints.

Staff

As I've previously stated the staff were all incredibly helpful and so very nice. The bar staff would make special cocktails for my daughter named after all the Disney princesses and the mini club even though she wasn't a part of it gave her so much attention and really encouraged her to take part in the activities.

On my first day my camera dropped and broke. The reception staff called one of their regular cabs who took me to Kemer to the shop stayed and bartered for me for a new camera :))

Pool

We were only ever by the baby pool and met some wonderful people there who I am still in touch with now. I was the only person from london and England actually but that wasnt a problem at all. Everyone was so nice and it would be the same people around the pool everyday, we all recognized eachothers children's toys and would put it by the beds if we weren't around. I was often known to leave arm bands buckets and pool toys lying around whilst my daughter had a nap. We'd sometimes not come down til dinner and her toys would be neatly stacked against our sunbeds.

The pools were immaculately cleaned everyday and there was no smells.

Entertainment

We were at the mini disco everynight which my daughter absolutely loved and still talks fondly of. I bought her the CD and she still remembers the dances and the wonderful staff. There were shows everynight which I didn't see because my daughter was still in her routine and would get tired by then. But the one show I dud see I thought was hilarious and from what I heard from the other guests they were all amazing.

On the whole I had an amazing time. Even though alone I felt safe and comfortable here. It saddens me to read the bad reviews as this was not my experience at all. I would most definitely go there again.

“3* holiday 1* service..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We have just returned from a week at the Fantasia-16th to24th Oct. I agree in most parts to eliments of all the latest reviews. The hotel itself is very impressive, very grand and has many facilities. The room was large and the bathroom nice.Lovely beachfront position, no wrist bands- which is always a plus!! However this hotel is totally let down by the poor to non existant service. We were totally prepared for the hotel to be winding down at the end of the season but this should not affect the service.
The food was Ok, with breakfast being the best meal of the day (and the lady who makes crepes by the pool bar.) The other restaurants vary; the italian was the best, the Turkish good; The fish restaurant food was Ok,however you could not see what you were eating because you eat outside in the dark; and at this time of year COLD. The chinese restaurant was a joke, freezing cold glass gazebo, two choices on menu, both noodles- one beef, one chicken- both cold. Overrun with cats!
The pool was beautiful..... alas not heated and was too cold to swim in without a survival suit.
Whilst we also appreciate that the staff, in the majority ,only spoke German or Russian, what we did not expect was to be ignored when the staff realised we were English. On occasions the staff were extremely rude laughing and commenting about us with German guests. I know this because my 13 year old daughter speaks German and was able to relay their comments unbeknown to them!
This bring me to my final comment and the reason I would never return here; Having taken my 13 yr old daughter with me I was appauled that the bar staff, waiters, photographers were constantly hassling her. Touching her, rubbing against her, asking to sleep with her on one occassion. This despite the fact I constantly made it clear of her age. Now, I appreciate that local custom and what is deemed acceptable behaviour towards women varys across the globe, however, we were staying at a supposedly 5* resort where I paid for not only service but a level of behaviour beyond that which I would receive had I taken my daughter back packing in the back of beyond.I expected to be treated with the same respect as was shown to the staff by ourselves. My daughter felt uncomfortable and intimidated. This should have been comfortable environment.

Room Tip: The rooms over looking the garden seemed quietest.
