As usual, my friends and me chose Kemer in Turkey for this year's vacations. After a lot of searching on the internet and a lot of asking, we decided for Simena Sun Club in Camuyva. When we arrived at the hotel, I was hoping to get our luggage transported with the funny cars available, but no: at 14.30 we went on foot to our room with a under 18 years old holding our luggage. The funny cars were used from the staff for transportation, not for guests! The next surprise was our room: we booked for three, while it was equipped for two! After a lot of calls and a visit to the reception with an angry voice tone, the changes were made and we started our vacations at around 19.00.
Entertainment: Never been bored so much in Turkey. I do not know about other years, but this year Simena Sun Club was totally family-friendly with no interest in offering entertainment, since families go to bed at 21.00. The entertainment team was trying a bit, but the ideas were lacking and really childish games and shows were going on almost every evening. Except for one foam party (one each two weeks), nothing else was happening, not even a White Party (which I have enjoyed several times in the hotels of Tekirova). Two nights there was practically nothing going on. The disco was not very attractive and most of the times it was empty. This is also because the animation team was looking forward to attract most of the guests to the outside clubs "Inferno" and "Aura" with really extra money.
Food: There was not so much variety of food, but it was good quality. Except for the Rixos Tekirova, the food in Simena was much better than the food served at the Corinthia Club Tekirova, a hotel which is more expensive. Even the watermelon was tasty, something that does not happen in most of the all inclusive hotels of Turkey.
Sea: It is Kemer style, with sand and stones and also very warm. But it was a shame that real pieces of human sh... were floating almost every afternoon at 15.00. A girl found a used condom on her belly while swimming. I was really worried about the situation, because I had never seen so much dirt in Kemer.
I am trying to remember other things that I did not like at the Simena Sun Club, but this was it, mostly. It is not a terrible hotel, but I would not recommend it for young people that want to have fun at night. Without a young-oriented organization, I would not like to visit this hotel again!
