The hotel is divided into three different hotel. Simena Sun Club is only two and three storey villas. The beach is rocky and need special shoes. The food is superb. There are lots of greenery. A la carte restaurants were good. For children there is children's pool with three water slides. Animation is great, all care no one bored. Prices in the shops within the hotel are high and can be downloaded below. So shop outside the hotel.

“Good hotel, worth a visit”

We have just arrived back from a week stay at this hotel, as a party of Myself, wife, 16 year old son and daughters aged 15, 14 12 11. Initially we looked at the reviews on trip advisor, and were slightly apprehensive as there were mixed emotions. However, we found our stay to be mainly very nice and may well go back. We had tried to book elsewhere but could not find availability but we were not disappointed. We flew from Leeds Bradford and found the transfer by shuttle to the hotel only 1Hr 15mins. Upon arrival we were checked in quickly, good as it was 2am, the reception organised our baggage to be taken up to the rooms. We were allocated the 3rd floor, a suite comprising a sitting room with two sofa beds, ensuite, tv telephone and fridge, main bedroom kingsize bed, desk, fridge, tv, telephone, wardrobe, safe etc. along with the main bathroom. The other separate double room also contained the same amenities along with two single beds and a sofa bed. All rooms had their own controlled air-con, were furnished to a good standard and well maintained. I would not say 5* but, I would equal to the quality of rooms to the Leeds Marriot 4*. Upon waking we were able to explore and found the following: Breakfast 7am til 10am full service including some cooked items and daily specials such as pancakes or eggs cooked to order outside. 10am til 11am limited breakfast only. All breakfasts included hot drinks and juices including Fresh Orange. 12.30 til 4 is a snack bar serving fresh made pizza, grilled items, pasta, salad etc with a bar service. The main restaurant is also available 12.30 til 2.30 with a good range of food with lots of salad, pasta, casseroled food and vegetables, cold cuts and cheeses. Coffee time is 4pm til 5pm, its ok but tea and coffee is served all day at the lobby bar and is very good. Ice cream is served 3.30pm til 5pm but be prepared to queue. Dinner is served 7pm until 9.30pm and consists of several specialities cooked outside to order, a large number of casseroles, pasta, cooked meats, salads and cheeses are served including a bar service. Evening entertainment varies but always includes mini disco 8.30 til 9.30, show time 9.30 til 10.30 then a disco or the ampitheatre is turned into a nightclub til 1am. The show is dire but the animation are very enthusiastic and do try hard. During the day there are amny activities going on, volley ball, tennis, table tennis, aerobics etc. The kids and wife joined in. The pool area is very clean and well maintained, with sunbeds aplenty. The private beach is only a couple of hundred metres away down a private road but it is pebbles with only a few beds, there is a bar serving beer and soft drinks and chips cooked fresh all day long. The location is not marvellous of the hotel, Kemer is a 10 minute taxi ride away 35 lira each way seating 7 or the dolmus 3lira each way per person. Kemer is a small town with expensive bars and shops. Chamyuva on the other hand is a 10 minute walk out of the hotel turning right out of the complex. There are only a few bars and shops but its worth a walk. If you walk to the roundabout and get the dolmus to the left, there is a bazaar a few days a week and bargains can be found.
Points to note:
Hotel is 45% turkish nationals and 50% russian or eastern european. The turkish are very friendly but do however not tolerate people who are rude. The russians are very rude and will walk over you without batting an eyelid. When food is served, they grab at it like starving refugees as if it will be their last mouthful. Don't be intimidated, stand firm and do not let them push in. Tell them so if you need, they may well say they don't understand, but THEY DO!!!!
Staff, very friendly and respond very well to polite and friendly guests. If you are polite and friendly, you will find that the rude russians do not get served a quickly as you. Also the odd 5 or 10 lira tip goes a long long way, bar staff will gladly give you nice cocktails and be very quick to pour your drink before you even order.
Waiters in dining room, I tipped one waiter three times over the week, as a table of 7 was not easy to come by, every evening we had a reserved table with flowers, cloth napkins, fresh bread and drinks laid out, much to the annoyance of "The Ruskies" as the staff call them.
Maid service was very good with fesh bedding, towels and toiletries every day. The maid even tidied our clothes and shoes up.
The water slides are switched on a couple of times a day and the kids really enjoyed them, however, a russian girl attacked my 11 year old a few times. We reported it to the life guard who brushed it off but it happened again. We reported it to the public relations manager who spoke to the family. The icing on the cake was when the girls father threatened my 14 year old by sliding his finger across his throat whilst making a horrible sound and pointing at my daughter. I was ready to knock his head off but my wife calmed me down and we saw the public relations manager again. At this point the family were threatened with being thrown out of the hotel. The little girl then apologised to my daughter and offered her some sweets. Everything was fine after that.
Trips, do not use Radiant travel a few hundred metres up the road from the hotel, they ripped us off and then would not refund us. We booked a boat trip to include a boat of a maximum of 35 people all with a sun lounger and a seat in the shade each, no russian on board only english and german with a very nice lunch and drinks included. What a lie. There were over 100 people on the boat, less than 30 seats and not enough sun loungers to go around let alone one each. 7 of us shared 4 seats the entire day and could not get a lounger. We dare not get up as rude people stole our seats if we tried, and even took our stuff off the seats if we went to the loo. It was like an overcrowded train to moscow. Drinks were not included and at 4 lira a can of coke, 8 lira a beer , 16 lira a vodka coke and 4 lira a bottle of water, very expensive. Luch was awful, the kids would only eat the pasta and when we asked for more than the half a spoonful offered, we were told NO! 1 spoon only. Do not use this robbing B******.
In brief:
Take English money but change it in the hotel, when buying out they give you an awful exchange rate.
Food is generally very good, well prepared, maybe a little bland but herbs and spices are available as condiments, none of us had upset tummies and everything is hygenic.
Beer is good, spirits are ok but the cocktails are nice. Bottled water ice cold is available from the bar all day long as much as you want.
Fridges in rooms inlude 1.5lt pepsi, 1.5lt fanta and also 3lt of water and if you are nice to the maids you will get the fridge filled (2 pepsi 2 fanta 3 water) every day
Safe deposit boxes are free and in your room.

Treat the staff as human beings and you will enjoy your holiday. If you want english breakfast and all english food look elsewhere , maybe benidorm or blackpool, but if you try the turkish food, especially as almost half the guests are turkish, you will enjoy. No one could go hungry at this hotel, and believe me, two of my kids are very fussy. There is plenty of fresh fruit all the time. if need be. If you want good shopping go to marmaris or kusadasi. If you want a hotel well run and truly all inclusive look here. If we had arrived with our baggage and little all else we could have enjoyed our holiday and not spent a penny. On a final note, the sauna, fitness room and turkish bath are also all free, the turkish bath is a diy so take your partner and take turns. If you require the pro to do it they will barter down to around 20 quid.

Thank you to all staff and especially to the public relations manager, for making us all very welcome and giving a good service.

We went with two grandparents, 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 small children. We stayed in one out of aprox 6 villas and I found it very pleasent there. Although the jacuzzi was blocked by chalc, so we didnt use that. As the weather was nice we made daily use of the pools wich were large and not overcrowded. We didnt make much use of the beach, it was no sandy beach, but covered mainly with stones as wide as 2 fingers. Food was good, some days better than others tho. And there are some culture problems, we were the minority dutch people, the majority was around 80% russians. As the food was a buffet, good quality buffet, food had to be served by yourself, and the russians would often take food with their bare hands, making it very unhygienic. they also did not stand in line, but daily crowded over themselves to get food like cattle. this made dinner time a somewhat stressing experience. The staff was usually kind, but barely spoke any word of english.
Staff that was not usually in contact with turists, such as maintenance, were very rude.

The beds were not so comfortable, the sheets were rough and pillows too big. The location was great! a huge mountain reaches the sky behind the resort and in the other end you have the sea, beautifull sight.

Entertainment was overall good/okay. it was very different from day to day, and you never knew what would happen. One time it was a great show of capoeira fighting, and the next day it was very boring, simple childish entertainment. One entertainer really deserves all the credit, without him they would loose a lot of the entertainment. He is called Ahmed and has a great personality. If he is there when you go, expect a good show!

Conclusion, In all we did have a good time. The place is really for families with small children.
