We stayed at Konaki in August 2011 for about 1 week. The hotel is family run and the owners have created a nice environment, with nice rooms, a large garden, flowers and a lot of attention to detail.
There is a swimming pool with a pool bar and a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. The room we stayed in was in the 2nd floor in one of the 2-storey buildings. There are also bungalows with 3-4 rooms each, surrounding the garden. It's good for couples, as well as for families with children, but also for elderly people, provided of course they stay in a ground floor room.
The hotel is situated on the main road from Lefkada town to Nydri, in Lygia. You need a car to move around and especially to go to the beaches, the best of those are 30-40 minutes by car. There is plenty of parking space at the front and the rear of the hotel and the rooms are at the back, which means the noise from the road doesn't reach them.
Breakfast was good, with limited variety, but including hot dishes like scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, as well as fresh fruit (mellon or watermellon). It was open until about 11am, which is important when you are on holiday and want to take some more time to enjoy your morning coffee. WiFi coverage was mainly around the restaurant area and swimming pool, I couldn't connect from my room unfortunately, which I would prefer.
A couple of things to improve: (1) the bed was a bit too hard and I think comfortable beds is one of the things a hotel needs to watch and (2) there was only one power socket only for both the TV and the air conditioning unit. This meant, you had to operate only one of them at one time - a problem that could be easily solved with a low cost power strip or a second socket...
Overall, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff and nice, quiet environment. If they correct one or two minor issues, they can improve further. I would definetely recommend.
