“PLEASE READ, GOOD AND BAD POINTS!”

i stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend, from the 2nd of feb till the 7th, we went for a little brake from the winter cold! when we arrived we loved the hotel, beautiful reseption room, spotlessly clean, the staff that greeted us were absolutely lovely! made us feel very welcome. we were in a jr suite. it was clean appart from tiny things that let it down, the shower glass was dirty and could do with a little more upkeep. the bathroom wasnt the best, a few people we met mentioned the same as us. the food was slightly repetative, they had a lot of meats on offer but not alot to go with them. i felt as thought i could never make a meal, i just had small bits of everything i liked. we were never told about the wind where we were staying, but please be warned it is horrific! it was impossible to sit outside without being coverd in sand, every drink we had ended up undrinkable. it really is a surfers paradise. don't be fooled by the time of year we chose to go because we have been informed that it is renound for being windy, the more you look around the more you relise that there is alot of evidence of surfers all over. the hotel is lovely but it is rather far from anything and with sitting outside being out of the question it gets abit boring. the indoor pool is 30 euros each time you want to use it and the outdoor pool is filled with salt water. we ended up hiring a car and went into las americas and los christianos, where the weather was glorious! i personally wouldnt stay here again, there was nothing for us to do, if the hotel was in a better arena then i would without question. i hope my reveiw has helped you with your choice of hotel!

Room Tip: rooms facing the carpark have no veiw whatsoever.

“Just as good 2nd time round!”

We stayed here last year and loved it so decided to come again. This is our little haven away from it all, without the kids so it has to be perfect.
We were upgraded for free as returning customers so had an amazing suite overlooking the bay. The rooms are comfy, spacious and ours was spotlessly clean, maid came every day to clean and with fresh towels daily.
We were also given free spa passes, the spa is lovely and the treatments are something else. Not cheap but worth every penny Chrissy is possibly the best therapist ive ever seen, very spiritual and totally engaged in every treatment, she really is great at what she does, thanks for fixing me Chrissy.
Food is very good, of course they reuse food, but its done very well with leftover potatoes used for potato salad etc. The meat and fish is cooked fresh in front of you and there was a carvery every evening. There are salads, vegetables, pasta, meat, fish, everything you could want and all cooked beautifully.
Every aspect of the hotel is well maintained, its clean, the pool area is perfect with no fight for sunbeds, no loud music, just a small pool bar and the sound of the sea in front of you.
Lots of people were moaning so here is my advice:

DO COME HERE IF:
You want to relax and do nothing
You like peace and quiet
You enjoy watersports
You like a variety of traditional well cooked food

DONT COME HERE IF:
You want it to be just like home
You dont like wind (it is VERY windy)
You like bars, clubs, shops, noise and endless entertainment

Im glad that theyve got rid of the piano player, but sadly Ilija the entertainment guy is no longer there and it shows. We barely saw the entertainment guy, he made no effort to interact with guests as far as we could see.
Also i would prefer this hotel to be child free, there is nothing for them to do here which is why i wouldnt bring ours. If you want kids clubs and entertainment then take them to a more suitable hotel.

We will definately stay here again, for us its just perfect!

Room Tip: Pay for your seaview, its worth it

“Very happy return visit”

Hi,as stated in my previous review of this hotel we returned again in January.
The manager was new and most of the staff had changed but Alex behind reception was still there to give a most sincere welcome.
We were all inclusive and the standard of food is if anythig better than last April when wwe first stayed. The main problem if anything is thelarge choice and the long meal times inevitabley means some food gets cool, although staff are constantly
monitoring the food temperature with the correct type thermometer.
Food cooked while you wait is available at breakfast time
Great quiet week, ohters stated they enjoyed the entertainment although we did not try.
location secluded but the village of el medano is one of the unspoilt jewels of the islands.
definitley going again in near future

Room Tip: Extra payment for sea view Junior suite will ensure sun most of the day on the balcony

“A bit far from town”

A very quiet hotel, although there was good, varied entertainment every night. The food would have been better if it had been a bit hotter but we had no major complaints about it. Had we realised it was a distance from El Medano we probably would not have booked as It would have been nice to wander around to small bars in the evening. Our junior suite was comfortable and spacious although we did not think that the towels or bedding were good enough for a 4 star hotel. The shower screen was grubby when we arrived and the same when we left as no-one had cleaned it so the chambermaids maybe need extra time or training. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would not return, mainly because of it's situation
