Maybe I was lucky out of season, but I had a good-sized room with (Spanish) tv. The hillside location at the end of a cul-de-sac means no disturbance from traffic. There's a pool which I imagine could be noisy, but it's not in use in October; meanwhile, the poolside loungers are still available to flake out on. If you dont like Cala Major, Palma is easily accessible by no 3 bus; the up-market beach at Illetes is 35-40 mins walk; and for culture, go down the hill a few metres, then back up Cami de Can Estade and the Fondacion Miro is just 5-10 mins walk - then, if you continue up Saridakis, right along Vidal i Sureda, then leftish into Bartomeu Pons i Coll, over the stream, and up the steps just past the "Happy Faces" Kindergarten, then the astonishing Belver Castle and Park can be reached in another pleasant 30 mins.

What I have probably missed when booking this hotel (one night stay) is that this is a hostel. You will first climb steep hill and then steep stairs. If you are lucky you'll get a chance to meet nice owner' dog. Rooms are very basic, but clean. Furniture is as simple as it gets. Also don't expect air-condition there, it was quite cold during night in April even outside temperature was at least +5C higher. We were surprised that our door LOCKED from within could be easily open from outside WITHOUT keys! It was only one night we spent there but I can't imagine how one could stay longer there... maybe only if you are on very low budget.
