We came in off-season...and knew most things would be closed. We stayed at the Nixe Palace, knowing they would also likely be in low-season mode...
The room was quite nice, clean and well-appointed, with a terrace looking out to the sea. A lovely view. Two small complaints, our king was two singles pushed together and when I tried to snuggle my husband I fell in the hole between... Also, very limited English channels, which was ok for us but would be a concern for travelers with children, as there was really only news in English... Other channels are available but at quite a high price.
The spa pool when we went, was having problems and was cold as the North Sea. However, Sylvia who was on duty at the spa, made it up with a fabulous massage! I paid an average price for a massage in Europe, in my opinion, but she was quite skilled so it was worth it.
The Bistro restaurant was the only restaurant open for lunch and dinner. I would recommend guests go elsewhere near the hotel to dine in the evening, there are many nice local places.
In terms of staff, one or two bright young ladies shone like diamonds against the blackness of their colleagues' apathy. These ladies were gracious and hardworking. A more senior member of the management team...who shall only be known as Sunshine...was in our opinion, in need of a long holiday himself, so we avoided him.
It was our first trip to Spain, and Mallorca is wonderful. This hotel's strength lies in its sea view. If that matters to a guest, then stay here.
