Hotel Generally:- Rooms in 2 or 3 floor buildings, different styles, set in gardens on a Hill, Nice, clean, In good Repair.
Rooms:- My room was a double (2 single beds, which we pushed together), in a 2 floor circular block of about 12 rooms. Very nice, If I didn't have a real life, I'd be happy to live there! Everything was in good order, and clean. room had a bathroom, TV, Aircon, Fridge, Table and Chairs, outside table and chairs, Radio Alarm clock.
Food:- Quite nice for hotel buffet food. Nothing spicy or out of the ordinary, but I guess they have to cater for a lot of different people, and this is the middle ground. No need to arrive early, as everything was refilled.
Pools:- Clean, not too much Chlorine, no lifeguard, but I don't care about this, as I don't have kids.
Bars:- We were there All Inclusive. Plastic glasses around the pool, glass in the evenings. In the AI program were all soft drinks, Beer (1/2 pints), wine, Sangria, local spirits. The choice on AI was good, and the barmen wern't tight with the measures or funny with you if you drink quickly. Bar prices for those who have to pay looked reasonable, cheaper than the bars in the centre of town.
Disco:- Cheesy, but OK for a late drink, open till 2am.
Cleaning:- Good, nice small touches from the cleaning ladies. I left a laptop, mobile and coins e.t.c. lying around the room most of the week, and nothing went missing.
Shop:- Beach shop is about 20% more expensive than in town, Supermarket is expensive, a lot of things are double the price (or more) compared to a real supermarket.
Sports facilities e.t.c.:- As I'm quite a lazy person, I didn't really use these, but they looked good. I played minigolf, which was OK, although the course could do with a lick of paint. I was quite impressed that almost everything was included in the AI program, Diving or Mountain biking for instance. I think you have to pay for the better tennis courts and the sauna though.
Entertainment program:- Was OK... A lot of it wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm not a family with kids... The evening shows were quite good, daytime activities varied, the entertainment people were good fun. The club song (with special dance - 4 times a day) was quite annoying, But then again I'm not a family / Kid... Entertainment program was in German / English / Spanish (Sometimes they translated into french also).
No-one spoke Czech there, which wasn't a problem for me (native english speaker), was sometimes problematic for the Czech tourists. Maybe it would be useful for them to employ a Czech speaker somewhere on site, as they have 2 Czech Tour operators sending people there.
Other Tourists:- While I was there I would say 60% Germans, 30% Czechs, and the other 10% split French / Dutch / English / Others. It was quite good there wern't many english people... Not so many badly behaved kids, loud people, people complaining about not having a fried breakfast... :)
Surrounding Area:- 2 Nice beaches about 5 mins walk away. A couple of Bars / resteraunts next to the hotel. The town is about 20 mins walk away (quickest way is down to the beach, then along the coastline).
Complaints:- Not a lot really... It would be good if they have a vending machine or something... We arrived at 3am, and thirsty, no water for sale, and tap water isn't drinkable (generally, not just in this hotel).
Same problem after dinner in the evenings... No munchies available to buy... Bar doesn't have snacks / crisps / nuts for sale. No local shops after 5pm. It's OK after the first day, as you know to stock up with snacks from the local shops.
Overall:- Very good, I had a nice holliday there especially for the price (we paid 10,000Kc (£250) each for 6 nights AI, including flights from Prague). Not really much to complain about at all...
