“Terrific!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2007

Our 5 days at the Lodge were absolutely wonderful.
Beat and Jackie are excellent hosts; generous, thoughtful and welcoming. We felt like we had been staying with old friends by the end of our time there. The food was consistently great and the hand-made accomodations (cabins, furniture etc.) were more than comfortable, yet rustic enough to fit in with the surroundings.
And what surroundings! With the 20 hours of daylight we had in June it gave us lots of opportunity to enjoy the lake, woods and mountains or just relax in the sunlight.
We're very much hoping to make a return trip one-day, in the winter!

“A little piece of heaven on earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2007

To wake up in the morning in your own private log cabin, step out and breathe in fresh air and see the vistas across the lake. We have stayed at TWL on two occasions and are returning in June, 2007. Jackie and Beat made us feel like we were long lost friends and graciously welcomed us into their home. This is one of our favorite destinations. Beautiful scenery, good fishing (I'm still looking for the lucky hook), great company and good food too. We highly recommend a stay at TWL to complete your Yukon experience.

  • Liked — The private cabins are great with handmade furniture.
  • Disliked — Nothing comes to mind.

“Wilderness Utopia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2007

My three sons and I wanted to do some wilderness fishing and hiking. Tagish Wilderness Lodge was more than we expected. Fantastic scenery, fabulous fishing and Jackie and Beat are probably the most gracious and informative hosts that visitors to the Whitehorse area could find. A true eco-wilderness experience that the four of us are looking to repeat. Three cheers and a tiger for this resort.

“A great Mt. Lanning trecking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2007

Our Mt. Lanning trecking was an incredible experience! Beat was a great guide. The first day was hard to get through the bushes and forests to our camp above the treeline, but what a rewarding view high above the lake!
Beat also turned out to be an excellent cook, preparing excellent meals starting at magnificent sunrises.
The tours arround the old volcano craters were lovely and very interesting, a great feeling to think you might be the first human beeing who walks the area.
After all that a few more days relaxing at the lodge with biking, fishing an good talks with our hosts, thank you again Jaqueline and Beat for the great time, Herbert, Margrit, Peti and Ursi from Switzerland

“Great Lodge; Great Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2007

I was working on a documentary on Comets and needed to find people in the area who had witnessed a large meteor that fell in the area. Not only were Beat and Jackie witnesses (and interviews in our show), they were excellent hosts.

We stayed in the cabins at night and spent our days shooting absolutely beautiful footage. The scenery is hard to beat. And Jackie's cooking is fantastic.

We were on the job the whole time we were at Tagish Lake but it sure felt like vacation, thanks to Beat and Jackie. If you really want to get away (far away) this is the place to go.
