“Great Family Friendly Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stayed at the cliffs of moher hotel, myself my husband and 2 children. We checked in late on a friday nite and couldnt have received a nicer welcome. Our room was spacious and spotless. The ensuite was clean and had a super shower! Breakfast was a "full Irish" cooked fresh while u wait (and not left in a bain marie under hot lights) with beans on the side! And as much tea as u can drink. The staff were extremely helpful and very obliging. And so friendly. We visit North Clare once a year and will definitely return to The Cliffs of Moher Hotel. Thanks to everone there for making our weekend so enjoyable!! Highly Recommended.

“nice hotel, little strange”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2009

This is a strange hotel to review. The hotel was very new, but strange. We checked in at 1:45, which amazed the staff because checking wasn't until 2, jeez. The room was large, clean, and nice. The view from the window was directly into a very disheveled barn. The lights in the hallway are all on motion sensors, And they don't detect you until you get pretty close. Also, you need to put your keycard into a slot once in the room to turn the lights on. Trying to make it very efficient, has made it a bit, different. It is a bit strange, but not a big deal. Convenient location, but not much within walking distance other than 2 little restaurants that werent too interesting. Its pretty close to the Cliffs (hence hte name), good place to stay, would stay there again. Oh, free off street parking too, thats a plus.

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2009

This hotel is a new modern hotel in the small village of Liscannor. There are two pubs, another hotel and a shop in Liscannor. Both pubs serve good food. The Location is great for touring the West of Clare (Doolin, Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher Cruises, Ailwee Caves, Lahinch, Spanish Point and The Burren) and Galway City is only about an hour and a half away. The room was a good size and clean, flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities, nicely decorated and bathroom was modern and clean also. It was a pity the fridge in the room wasn't working as it would have been handy to put minerals etc. in it but there was a problem with it and staff were apologetic about it. Its quiet there at night time in Liscannor, noise was never an issue. Staff were very helpful with any requests or questions we had. We stayed on a B & B basis so we didn't have any evening meals there but the breakfast had good variety of food and got us ready for the day of touring. Lahinch is only a few minutes up the road and is a really lively place with restauants, pubs, shops of all kinds and beaches and lots more. The best part about the hotel is that it is new so everything is nice and clean, bar was really cosy and would recommend to anyone staying there, look for a nice view from the room.

“Great Location . . good base for sight seeing . .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2009

Great location. A small hotel situated in the village of Liscannor with 3 traditional pubs, 2 serving really good food all 10-20 yards away from the hotel. €5 for taxi into Lahinch bookable through reception and 5 mins drive to Cliffs of Moher.

Rooms are modern and clean. Flat screen tv's, tea/coffee making facilities, iron, hair dryer etc.

Staff were very stressed and over worked, and it reflected in the standard of service. Thats a management issue that needs to be addressed !
