My wife and I were looking forward to some down time after touring Sicily. Auto to auto combat with Italian drivers left us tired and stressed. We reviewed TripAdvisor on Hotel La Bussola and we were not disappointed. Keep in mind that the hotel is not located on the beach but the beach is only 5 minutes away by car. In addition the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle which will pickup and dropoff. The premises were clean and the swimming pool was refreshing. We received complimentary WiFi but that could have been because we were into the off season. The staff were attentitive to our needs and we had no issues. The food at the hotel was excellent and as a matter of fact we just ate at the hotel. My wife is allergic to shell fish and on the last day they prepared an off menu meal of delicious pasta with local sausage (nduja)- fantastico. My only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast with some eggs and individual yogurts rather than the the stuff in bulk. Other than that, no complaints and we would certainly return.

I really didn't want to leave La Bussola! We were made very welcome by family and staff and nothing was too much trouble. Even though this is a 3 star hotel, the rooms must be 4 star standard, very stylish, especially the bathrooms, with plenty of room for suitcases in an inner lobby and lots of hangars, fridge and air conditioning!
The outside is very pretty with lots of palms and fruit trees with everything carefully tended and the swimming pool is delightful.
The food was excellant, although I did miss having eggs for breakfast! Every night was something different and we were there for 2 Calabrian evenings where the choice of regional dishes was fantastic especially the onion soup!
Although there is a minibus service to the beach, we are glad we hired a car as we were able to explore the area as much as possible and were delighted with the fabulous views we found.
The hotel and outside areas were immaculately clean and it was a real pleasure to be there! Can't wait to go again!

La Bussola was without doubt a fantastic place to stay.

It's a family run hotel, we loved the staff, they were amazing, had the knack of making you feel like close friends,  very welcoming, we were treated like family!  would go back there in a heart beat!

Our room was very comfortable,  and the food was excellent!

The sunset from the terrace not to be missed, this place is a real find,  

The only negative is that we had to leave!!!

We would recommend La Bussola to anyone traveling through Italy, you will not be disappointed!

Our stay at La Bussola was fantastic.
This family run hotel was the most welcoming hotel that we have ever stayed in over the past 25 years of staying in hotels all over europe.

The hotel was imaculately clean and the food was out of this world.

Anything you request this hotel will go out of its way to make sure they arrange this for you.

I know it all sounds too good to be true but honestly it is. Please try it and you will be writing reviews the same.

We felt like part of there family and the additional staff were the same.

Really did not want to leave and are still in touch with the hotel regulary we will be returning and taking are friends and family next time.

I highly reccomend any one on either business or pleasure to stay at this hotel you will not be dissopointed. FANTASTIC.
