“wonderful!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2009

This place is great BUT it is on the other side of the island and away from it all. If you want to be in the action then don't stay here. English Harbor is about 35 minutes away as well as the airport. For us, we did not mind. The rooms, service, little beach, and food were all phenomenal. We will be back!!

Our guests loved Harmony Hall, the location, food, ambiance and as usual worth the 2 mile journey along unmade road. But returning after 2 years we noticed the change of management. No warm welcome, no gentle classical music playing in the background, 3 big awnings erected and inhibiting the complete view, and no Ricardo conducting the staff and enquiring about your happiness. Why do some very very good things have to change ? We like a bit of fuss if we are paying that much !

Stayed here a couple of years ago - a big birthday with a zero on the end! Had stayed at a couple of different places on the island - and this was the highlight - my birthday - and the last couple of nights.

There was no restaurant on the night that we arrived - so they left a FANTASTIC dinner for 2 waiting for us in the room. 10/10.

Following morning was my birthday - breakfast was a dream, and then lunch on the terrace............boat over to Green Island for an hour snorkling in the shallows (hubbie doesn't like deep water so was perfect for beginers)...... followed by cocktails in the old tower - watching the sunset........and then a lovely dinner on the decked area. What could be better?

Room was a bit more basic than I was expecting - but the shower was a treat (and is a new benchmark to be compared to!).

2 or 3 nights was perfect for us.

  • Liked — Peace and solitude - with fantastic restaurant
  • Disliked — Room itself was a bit basic

“Far away from it all”

Plus
- nice enough villas, recently refurbished
- great restaurant (lunchtimes only)
- beautiful location

Minus
- overpriced - and there are a few annoying little problems with the villas (insect screens don't fit, sliding door broken, "king-size" matteress was just 2 singles puched together) which you don't expect at over $400/night
- no beach and the coral at green island is almost all dead, making the free shuttle boat service there fairly pointless
- also, the shuttle boat driver was incredibly rude
- there is nowhere to eat in the evenings except Tamarind bar just down the road, and this is closed on Mondays so next option is 40 minutes away in English Harbour

The total isolation of this place - having only the security guard for company after 5pm - could be a plus or a minus depending on what you want. They are planning new villas and a spa in the future so this may change.

“Quiet, secluded and perfect”

With my busy exec lifestyle, I do not want to be near a TV, computer or phone. At Harmony Hall, there is none and that's the beauty of the place.

This is not a hotel, it is an upscale B&B. The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. Each one has a relaxing patio looking onto an open field. The free breakfast is filling and the eating area overlooks the bay. The staff are incredibly accomodating and unlike some places like this, the owner has included the tips in the price of the accomodations.

The restaurant is Italian-Caribbean Fusion and well know on the island.

The location is on the east side of the island, away from the tourist areas, but only 10 minutes from the best beach.
