“Excellent hotel - if you're on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Lets be clear about this hotel. It offerers excellent value. Be aware - its a little tired in parts. e.g. the bar area by pool could do with a refurb, the kitchenettes are a little dated etc. Importantly the rooms are very clean. Its a series of apartments spread around the pool and in the adjoining area (across the road etc) Be aware that if you get a very good price for your room you will unlikely get an apartment that looks onto the pool/main garden area.

They have a driver (Dennis) who will drop you anywhere within a 3km radius of the hotel at no charge which is good. Otherwise you are 10/15 minutes walk from Holetown and the beach.

Overall highly recommended for a west coast Barbados trip on a budget.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view (and pay a little extra if you can)

“Too quiet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

All Seasons is set in lovely gardens, but is VERY quiet. The only time there is some activity is for happy hour when about 12 people go to the bar. No entertainment. No food at lunchtime.
Bathroom (in No. 43) needs updating. Guests can use The Beach House (10 mins walk towards Holetown) and get 10% off meals. We ate there 3 times and found the food excellent. It overlooks the sea, and there is a lovely sandy bay next alongside.

“Good Value but shame about the service!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The resort is well placed and within easy walking distance of Holetown. The accommodation was very reasonable and spacious with a handy cooking area that gave dining options if required. The resorts grounds were very attractive and well kept. But the service was woeful, the reception was not at all welcoming, and with regards to the bar and restaurant use of the word amateur would be putting it kindly! I know that Island life is laid back but these guys took it to the limit. Losing count of the number of drinks served was a common event with the barman, but the best was on two occasions showing the barman how to convert Barbadian dollars into US Dollars so he could issue a final bill. The restaurant service and quality of food was laughable, on one occasion the server brought both the starter and main course together! Room cleaning was also hit and miss, if you had service by the more mature cleaners you were ok, but if it was the young ones it was poor. This place will have to raise its game or it could become a serious victim of its tardiness.

Room Tip: A view of the pool is pleasing.

“The All Seasons Resort”

This was a lovely place to stay in easy walking distance of the beach and the busses to take you all over the island.
The desk staff were very helpful and gave us advice on how to get the best from out holiday.
The pool was very nice and at the time we were there it was nice and quite.
The apartment was very nice and it was a pleasure to sit out on the balcony in the evenings with a rum cocktail.
It was quite prone to mosquito's and I would advice people to spray up or cover up.
The Local silversmith who the desk staff put us in touch with was fantastic and one of the highlights of our trip.
I would return to this resort and have fond memories off it

Room Tip: The ones at the bottom (16,17,18) are more private but more prone to mozzies. The ones at the top ar...

“Our best holiday ever.....Brilliant value for money at All Seasons Resort Europa.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

When we booked this holiday, we knew it was cheap for Barbados and were hoping it would be cheerful too! When we arrived we were so very pleased with what we found. It was evening and the hotel gardens looked beautiful with the pool lit up under the water and the crickets and frogs singing loudly as we enjoyed a very welcome complimentary Rum Punch at the poolside bar, while we waited a few minutes for the van to arrive with our luggage. We travelled from the airport by minibus and the luggage came in a separate van.

We had a pool view apartment and it was enormous compared to hotel rooms we've stayed in before. The outside had been freshly painted and there was a large private covered patio area with a table and chairs and a sun lounger - don't take any notice of the review that says there was only one per apartment, there were lots of chairs, tables and loungers on the lawns in the beautiful gardens just outside and around the poolside !! Full width sliding patio doors looked out over the lovingly tended gardens to the pool and the apartment was just the right distance away so that any noise (there wasn't much, a cricket team stayed and were good company but hardly rowdy, just having fun in the evenings around the pool!) didn't disturb anyone wanting to be quiet. There was a huge lounge/dining room with beautiful up to date and clean furniture and curtains and a big ceiling fan. Nicely decorated with info on area and magazines. A telephone, free for local calls, and Reception would ring us most days to see if we needed anything... The kitchen, small but adequate for our needs,we had to ask for a couple of little things like a chopping board and a can opener but these were provided willingly and immediately and we ate in most evenings. It had a nice clean modern electric cooker and fridge freezer and microwave. The bathroom had a large shower but we felt the toilet and washbasin could do with updating, we didn't mind this though, as everywhere was spotlessly clean. We didn't feel the need to use the safe, security men patrolled the grounds all night and the rooms had good locks on and the style of windows made them impossible to enter. We left valuables locked in our luggage. Vee and the maids who cleaned our rooms were all so very nice, looked after us well, and even supplied us with aftersun & spare suncream, and I repeat kept the rooms really clean. The bed was lovely, really generously sized and so comfy, as were the pillows. Sheets were changed every couple of days as were the towels. There was plenty of wardrobe space, simple wardrobes but big, you will probably need to ask for more hangers.....A dressing table with mirror and light over and a chair, bedside chests, a radio alarm clock and another ceiling fan over the bed and the air conditioning unit. NOTE; AIR CONDITIONING IS ESSENTIAL!! We did not book it in advance and suffered for it the first night. We paid about £100 for 2 weeks aircon but that was still cheaper than paying for it in advance when we booked with Virgin Holidays. It was pleasant to retire into the 'Cool Room' at night as it was as hot at night in October as it was in the daytime!

We went to All Seasons in the quiet season and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere there, no noisy disco scene, just peace and quiet in a lovely setting and so relaxing. The staff at the bar and reception were all helpful, friendly, smiling and polite at all times. Audy and the other gardeners, kept the grounds immaculate. Dennis the minibus driver was happy to take us to Payne's Beach, Sandy Lane Beach, or into Holetown, and collect us again later at a pre-arranged time, really useful for shopping in the supermarket. (Plenty of restaurants in the area, though we mostly self-catered or ate from the locals' food vans, which was so cheap, about £7 each, and excellent quality. Dennis also kept the pool and surrounding area really clean, we loved the hours we spent relaxing in it!

One thing not to miss: a Sunset cruise on a Catamaran to swim with the turtles, book through the hotel reception, we went with Tiami Cruises - Don't pay for Virgin Holidays excursions, what a rip-off they are!! Do travel round on the local buses, the nearest stop is about 5 minutes walk. $2 to go anywhere even to Oistins for the Friday Night Fish Fry, another experience not to be missed, ask at Reception how to get there. So easy to get into Bridgetown, Andromeda Gardens and Bathsheba & Mullins Beach, by bus, all great days out. Dont miss Surfside Bar on Holetown Beach on a Sunday night when they have a steel band...and Zaccio's nearby, also on the beach, great for a Rum Punch or a beer while watching the sunset....

If we ever come back to Barbados, we shall definitely choose this friendly, laid-back hotel. Oh, and I should say, it doesn't matter if the bar does close at 10p.m. if its quiet, as most people were getting up really early to enjoy the sun which shines from 6am to 6pm, and by 10p.m. most people were only too pleased to be thinking of turning in for the night, that's the kind of place this is. If you wanted to stay up later, you could drink on your own terrace and watch the stars while the frogs and crickets provided the music!. Caribbean music playing in the bar area was a nice touch, and the large TV in the bar was great for keeping tabs on the Cricket and other sport. FREE internet was useful and very welcome.

We shall never forget the Bajan people we met on our holiday at All Seasons, their smiles their friendliness, and their kindness. Thank you all so much for having us. Peace and love to you all.

The Bajan smile will stay in our memories forever.

Reg & Lin from Wales.

P.S. Photos to follow :))
