We have just returned from spending a week at Grand Barbados. We loved our stay. The staff were wonderful. The room that we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. Surrounded by the beautiful ocean, we had a suite with a living room and king sized bedroom. It was spotlessly clean and we never had to ask for anything as we had plenty of clean towels, supplies, tea & coffee each day. The restaurant staff were wonderful.
The beach is incredible. Miles of white sandy beach and crystal clear waters. There are lots of great restaurants close by. There is a great little local sandwhich hut which is right beside the hotel which has great fish sandwiches & egg & cheese sandwiches for $3US. They were delicious!
I can't say enough great things about the hotel. I travelled with two 18 year old girls who loved it also.

I was booked into this Hotel by P&O Cruise Care after my Husdand was taken ill on board ship towards the end of our Cruise and was transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridetown. They could not have found me a better place under the circumstances, whilst my Husband was being cared for at QEH. My room was comfortable with an excellent view across the beach and out to sea. The outdoor restaurant was a special place, the food was good, breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of choice, whilst the menu choice at dinner was limited, the food was tasty. The best asset the Hotel has, is the staff, the first few days for me were lonely and anxious ones, however every member of staff made me feel welcome and treated me with courtesy, kindness, care and concern. No task was too much and help and comfort were always there. After my Husband was discharged, we were lucky enough to spend 6 days together at the Hotel whilst awaiting repatriation to UK, he also felt the warmth of their welcome. Wonderful people we will never forget.

We were there for our sons wedding, about 75 of us at the GB and others near-by in cottages or The Hilton. Our room was fantastic, we had 2 sides with sliding doors and balconies. The wonderful lady that kept our room so clean for us was amazing, she became a real friend. The desk staff were efficient and so helpful to all of us. The hotel worked so hard to get the magic rooms, suites, actually, at the end of the pier open for the Bride and Groom on their wedding night. Some of the bridal party stayed out there as well. The Wedding Reception was just wonderful, in the dining area and open on 2 sides. Breakfasts were absolutely magnificent and what a way to start your day with such a lovely outlook. We got a wonderful deal, and Hector, the Boss, and his staff just could not have been more caring and accommodating. We did not want to ever leave.

First visited in 1985, so glad I came back. A little older but aren't we all.
As they say "location-location-location" is everything. Beaches at your doorstep,shopping
and nightlife steps away and the friendly people of Barbados everywhere. Those friendly,
efficient, helpful people are where you want to find them most when on vacation.
