Where do I start, well when we first arrived on Sunday evening we were meet by a friendly reception staff member called prudence who was very efficient, we were giving a lovely refreshing rum punch, what a lovely start to the holiday. While we were having this, our cases were taken to our room unbeknown to us, what a lovely touch. When we were ready to go to our room we were shown to this by a really lovely girl called Sade, what a gem she is and the room if you could call it a room, it had a lounge, dressing room, kitchen and bathroom all of very high standards and the complementary coconut cream lotions was so personal.
The rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard and are so comfortable sometimes we did not want to leave it.
After reading the reviews about the food did these people stay at the same hotel as us. I mean 6 nights of a la carte excellent high standard food every evening cooked to perfection and nothing was to much trouble and all served to you with a lovely smiling face and all the staff were fantastic to name a few lovely Sade, Ryan,Tonya,Rikky,Mac and every one else.
The breakfast was always very good, I asked if I could have an omelette and when it arrived it was the best, so I had many more throughout my stay and the lunch, well there was so much choice and as for having to wait you waited no longer than you would in a normal restaurant but hay you are on holiday, chill ok. The menu was a bit repetitive but after putting on 4 pounds and my husband putting on a stone that speaks for itself and I am a fussy eater.
The bar staff are fantastic, nothing is to much trouble Hamilton and Greg is always so happy and Roy makes a lovely cocktail. A nice touch, was the drinks service by the pool.
The grounds was excellently kept and the gardeners were very helpful and friendly and informed us when the monkeys were in the grounds so took some lovely photos of them.
The pool was very clean and was never very busy so you can always get a sun bed.
My husband went out twice on the glass bottom boat it was not falling apart like some reviews have said excellent swimming with the turtles and on the way back he stopped over a reef so we could do more snorkelling.
A good night was had on the BBQ food was very good and lots of choice.
We meet alot of lovely people as the hotel is so small and friendly and very much hope to go back next year all in all a fantastic holiday and would thoroughly recommend it any one for a quiet and relaxing break.
The people of Barbados are very friendly and helpful and we felt very safe there.
