“Lovely Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2009

The two biggest perks of this riad are the staff and the food. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed for one night and had both dinner and breakfast at the riad. The dinner was enormous and very good and the breakfast was the best we had in Morocco. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the decor is definitely eclectic.
I wouldn't go out of your way to go to Taroudannt, but if you're there I would definitely recommend this riad.

“A real find -truly Moroccan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2009

A truly genuine Riad run by the Moroccan owners, well hidden near to the centre of Taroudant, just do not let the maze of back streets which have to be used to approach this fantastic Riad put you off. The warm welcome and calm once through the entrance are immediatly apparant. The inner courtyard is surrounded by the rooms which although not large or luxurious are more than adaquate and furnished in true Moroccan style. What is outstanding and of an extremly high standard is the food , be it breakfast, lunch or evening meal, the owners wife preparing and presenting meals of an extremly high standard. One comes away feeling as if one has been an honoured guest.

“Beautiful Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2008

We just visited for dinner, demonstrating that it isn't just 'bed and breakfast, by the way. It is the most beautiful place. We had a look at the rooms, which were very nicely appointed. The meal was outstandingly good Moroccan home cooking.

“Lovely garden and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2008

This lovely hide away inside the walls is fantastic. Our children, 3 and 6 yrs old loved the garden. The breakfast was fantastic. As far as one could come from "Continental breakfast". Beautiful tiles and colours.

“stay for the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2008

The advantages of this riad are

(i) the food is outstanding - it is home cooked and really is very good, best couscous I have ever tasted...
(ii) it is family run and as a result has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff / family are very nice
(iii) it is inside the walls of taroudannt and very close to the main square.
(iv) the courtyard is pleasant.

the disadvantages are
(i) the rooms are overpriced, in my view by about 20%.
(ii) the decor in the bedrooms is tacky....there is way too much going on, too many types of tyles, gaudy designs on the roof and so on. What the riad should do is get a foreign interior designer to sort it out (I know this seems a bit condescending, but the reality is that the clientele are all Western, and Moroccan run riads likes this are sadly losing out to those run by French, Dutch, English, Germans etc ect )

having said all that, i would definitely recommend it ....
