“You get what you pay for.... fantastic holiday”
the Panormos hotel is perfect if your wanting a cheap week away specially in the height of the summer. the hotel itself was very basic, as were the rooms. all rooms had two beds a balcony and aircon (but you have to pay £4.00 a day) but if your going now you will need it. the room never had a fridge because your not allowed to take ANY food or drink up to your room, there are notices everywhere stating that, you literary have to sneak your drink up to your room, as a few people we met actually got there drinks taken off them, but as long as you've got a beach bag or towel your sorted (we even got ice from the supermarket any left it in the sink to keep our drinks chilled worked a treat). the pool is very deep no shallow end was up to my chin and am 5.2, so just watch, there is a very small kids pool though. there are quite alot of sunbeds, but you will need to get up extra early to get one, we ended up putting the out at night before we went to bed, no one minded.
the food at the hotel was yummy, the breakfast was basic, but what do you expect for £8.00 a night b+b. there is a restaurant in the hotel, we eate there quite a few times for lunch it was lovely especially there chicken wings and if you ask for a beef burger you actually get a sirloin steak on a bun lol.
the hotel itself is quite a bit away. it is 1hr half from the airport, and if your last to get off then your talking 5hrs no joke it took us longer to get to the hotel that to get to turkey. the main nightlife and beach is ruffly 20mins away, but if you have a couple of pits stops for a few effes (local beer) you will be ok, there is also a bus (dolmus) that takes you, that is an experience in itself am warning you now.
over all we had a blast at the hotel and out with it, there are so many places to eat and drink, and if you dont like turk food there is a burger king, pizza hut, dominos 5 - 10 mins walk away, the prices for food is great but the alcohol is quite expensive when you get near the beach,
