“perfect and beautiful”

Came back 1st Nov last week of the season had a fantastic time. The apartments were clean tidy and very comfortable. The cleaning staff very friendly and hard working, deserved a good tip at the end of the week. Nice touch having water and bread waiting for us when we arrived. Staff were very helpful and welcoming (even though we arrived at 4 in the morning).
Went as a group of 4 ages ranging from 19 to 44 so much to do jet ski's, speed boat, bannana boat, along with the viper and the donut, pirate ship and a trip to Appolo's temple loved it. The dolmus is well worth the money and can get you anywhere, or a 5 mins walk will bring you to the beach front. or you can just stay by the pool sit back and enoy the sun. Although I still think that Marmaris is better Altinkum is quieter and has it's own beauty.Shop keepers very friendly and not too pushy, recommend you buy the telephone cards from the holiday rep, saves a fortune in phone calls. Ate out every day food was really good at the Big Ben and at Pinoccio's and as regards drinks, football, and kareoke Linikers Bar was good too. All in all a brilliant week, we would go again if the price was right and stay at the same place. Definately one we could happily recommend. As regards comments about barking dogs, must admit we were never actually was bothered by them. And as a parting shot do try the Fish pedicure by the offices just as you get out of the complex, well worth it and a experience to take back with you.

arrived at 3am shown to our room which was big and clean, lovely flowers on bed, pool area lovely and clean, close to bars and resturants didnt eat here so cant comment, went to four seasons private beach a bit more for drinks but its so relaxing and they fetch your drinks to you,my only concern are the dogs constantly barking apparantly they are guarding the medusa nightclub during the winter, well i booked this time of year so medusa club would be closed which it was,but the barking everytime someone goes by is terrible, why cant they put in a camera that would solve the problem, its hardly fair on the dogs to be tied up to guard a club???????????????

Room Tip: top floor sea views if you are below you probaly get the stilletto brigade at 3am

“perfect location”

just returned on 11th oct and had a cracking 2 weeks with missus and 2 teenage daugthers, arrived in middle of night and was escorted to room by night porter and wasnt dissapointed!!!!! really big clean bright airy 2 bed appartment,a nice little touch was a loaf,coffee/milk/butter sachets left for you so at least u can av a cuppa to settle in.As previous reviews this place is ideal and staff friendly and justifies its no 1 at top of review board but sadly i feel this will be its achilles heel as next year its not in 1st choice brochure(they just doing all inclusive) but skytours(still part of same group i think) and the greedy travel company have jumped on its popularity and on the face of it wacked the prices up and sadly my 2 girls are going to be dissapointed as i will DEFFO be returning to altinkum next year but not stayin at Dolunay for financial reasons ONLY.The pool is IMMACULATE and every night the lads give the poolside area a deep clean!!! i kid u not.Only spent a couple of days at pool as main big beach is perfect(and im not a beach person!!!).Altinkum and its people are really nice and only encountered a couple of pushy annoying front of house bar boys!!!!!.a good choice of food and still reasonably priced but not as cheap as it used to be,i budgeted for 100 pound a day(1400) and only spent 900(and 120 off that was on a trip)so it aint that bad,and like others av said do try the turkish food, ull be pleasantly suprised!!!!.Weather was hot enough for me but beware of wen going,we went 26th sept to 11th oct and up to last 2 days EVERYWHERE was still open but you could drastically see shops?bars shutting and i think this week onwards it will be DEAD!!!!!.Pinnochies is spot on for food and enterainment but my(and my teenage daughters!!!!)top mark goes to the dolphin square bar,the lads whodo the dancing have gotta be seen!!!!!!SPOT ON.If u dont mind a 7/8 round trip and a VERY long day spend your money and go to PAMMUKELLA,trust me you wont be dissapointed, what an amazing sight and day out, well worth the money for 30 quid each(dont book with the reps) and incidentally ours(frankie)was a little gem-a pleasure to meet and very helpfull-so all i can say as my missus checks the brochures for next year as i am writing this-roll on ALTINKUM next year but very sadly not the dolunay.

Room Tip: all good rooms-upper rooms get more sun

“Great stay”

First time in Altinkum but third time in Turkey. Went with sister, mum and her partner and stayed on first floor, two bed appartment. Was welcomed by staff when we arrived and apartments were lovely, clean and spacious. Had a good size balcony and a washing line to dry our wet towels etc. Pool was largest we had seen in the resort and was cleaned each day and very inviting and refreshing but not cold. Always room on the sunbeds. Staff at the apartments were very helpful and friendly and we spent many an hour playing cards or pool with them, in particular Yahya, Mahoni and Aynur, especially on a couple of dull weather days. We managed to eat in twice, getting supplies from SOK supermarket (out the appartments and turn right). Best beach was at Yesilkent, just a short Dolmus ride away. Also found good restaurant at ALO24 in main town (near Burger King) which is within walking distance or again a short Dolmus ride. Was very reasonably priced (about £8 for soup, drink and a main). All in all a great find, far better than any other apartments and hotels around and definetly should be graded higher than two star, nothing bad to say.
