On the way to Dordogne Valley, we made our first stop at Auberge De La Truffe, which was such a great experience, that throughout the entire trip we tried, nearly always in vain, to find places which offer such high quality of hospitality. The zenith of the stay was the meal in the gourmet restaurant of the hotel. Only for these three delightful hours, it is worthwhile picking this place. It is hard to get in France such a stupendous meal without having to mortgage your house. The set menus of 23 or 28 Euro are a delight, and for 44 you'll be treated for a real feast with truffles and fois gras.
