We had a great time meeting lots of friendly british people. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. I wasn't feeling very well and ask the staff for some ginger tea but they did not have any. About half an hour later there was a knock on my door and a staff has gone to the shop to get me some with a pot of hot water which came as a surprised to me and they did not charge me either. The safe in the room is secure for all personal items and the MD offered us the use of the safe in his office if we want too. We were there for two weeks and got invited to two cocktail evenings which we throughly enjoyed. I would like the toilet to have a door for more privacy. Room is big and clean and two big swimming pool to choose from. We had a good breakfast in the restaurant by the beach or you can use the one on the hillside. Taxi to town is only 200 bhat. Internet is not very good but we went next door to The Curve have a drink (food is good and cheap) and free use of internet. Had a few meals by the beachThe MD Mr John Gills was very friendly and accomodating. Will recommend, hope to return there again

We recently stayed with the Kandaburi in Samui and had a fantastic time. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. We stayed on the beachside and found the rooms to be a great value for money. The breakfast was great, although we found the breakfast to be superior on the hillside.(wish they were identical)

The grounds are very well maintained except for a few spots which could use a repainting. Also the mosquitoes were abundant and a contrast spray to kill the eggs and mosquitoes would help dramatically. Also the tacky blue and yellow things heading to the beach sticking out of the water ponds should definitely go. The pools were fantastic.....we enjoyed the one on the hillside better than one beachside as well. (probably due to it being newer) besides the few complaints everyone was really sweet and we will most definitely be returning. Hopefully a little renovation will truly make it feel 5 star.

We don't understand why the hotel is listed as being in Bophut.....it is basically the eastern tip of Chaweng. Main Chaweng is easily reached by walking on the sand or the street.

We had booked a hillside room and were slightly nervous having read other reviews. However it was great - huge bathroom, balcony with sea view and very quiet. There are lifts to the Hillside rooms and they also have a pool that seemed much quieter than the pool by the sea. The beach was a few minutes away, across a road but really not an inconvenience at all. As mentioned in previous reviews the resort could do with cosmetic updating, however we found it very comfortable and great for a relaxing holiday.

Breakfast and restaurants were fine, there are also a great range of restaurants within walking distance. We regularly ate at 'Seen to be Meen' - out of reception and a few doors to the right, a great restaurant/bar with lovely Thai food and cocktails and a delightful owner - highly recommended!
