“Paradise Taurito... Mogan it's what you make of it!”

Before I start my very truthful report I just wanted to say if you fly with Cosmos do NOT use the transfer company, book it yourself..It took 2 hours to transfer to Taurito from the Airport even though the brochure states no more than 1 hour 45 minutes.. Take a taxi it won’t cost that much more and it only takes 45 minutes!

This is definitely just a 3 star hotel, we had a very clean room on the fifth floor and the first thing that annoyed us was the length of time it took for the lifts to arrive, you can be waiting 5-10 minutes for it!

The restaurant was a large noisy area, there was an adult’s only area as you entered but nobody payed attention to this and it was filled daily with children. The selection of Luke food was ok but I don’t eat Goat, Rabbit, Veal or the fish served with heads on and bones in them!
We did eat out in Mogan at the Irish Marina restaurant as by day 3 I couldn’t eat another salad I am wheat intolerant but when we go to all inclusive I can normally find fish or meat to eat but not here.. We used to see what the soup was daily because it was always yesterday’s main... so it was chilli soup one day!
You could only get tea and coffee in the restaurant at breakfast..or at the pool bar during the day... the pool bar only served hotdog, cheese toasties and hamburgers (Wrestlers)!

The free aqua park opposite the hotel was at best dangerous, no water level markings and tiles missing all over the place, we only went once and that was enough!

The hotel did not open the Pub Flamingo so all the entertainment was centred around the Arena Plaza where the entertainment staff tried hard...SIMON you tried your hardest and without you it would have been dire... you made the holiday .... The drinks were watered down and only 3 types of cocktails available at all times a tad boring! Unless you ate early and got a seat before 7pm you had to stand around as there were not enough tables and chairs.

The animation team did try to do activities but it was just repetitive darts, Aqua gym, ping pong and a cocktail game for a free cocktail... yes I know you just got them free from the bar anyway! There is mini golf but you have to pay for it at 4 Euros each, the Jacuzzi is cold..Colder than the swimming pool.

We did use the Krabi Spa across the road at the other hotel we had a Aloe Vera couples massage for 60 Euros very relaxing......

Taxi ride to Mogan.. 7 Euros each way.

If you get a cheap deal then go, we had a good time because it’s what you make of it there were a lot of nice holiday makers here... i would go back to Taurito again it was lovely!
Would i stop here again...maybe not.. I would go back to the Princess hotel opposite, same star rating but far better!

“Friendly family hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

My husband, daughter, 1year old grandson and myself recently stayed for a week all inclusive at the Costa Taurito and were not disappointed with anything. This is a great family friendly hotel and although quite far from the airport it is in a lovely location with the waterpark and beach right on your doorstep. As we were travelling with a baby we opted for a private transfer from the airport and for £40 return for all of us we travelled in our own mini bus straight to the hotel and back to the airport with no other stop hence the journey only took us about 40-45 mins. I would recommend this as another couple we spoke to said that their transfer took as long as the flight due to all the stop offs.
I am just going to re-iterate all the other reviews and agree that this is a great little hotel which due to its size offers a personal and friendly feel, even the other guests were more friendly than we usually find on holiday! The staff were professional and helpful and always pleased to help. The maids were constantly cleaning and I think it is due to the high standard of cleanliness that we didnt come across any cockroaches during the whole week as I know that the Canaries are rather prone to them.
The food was of a high standard although if staying for more than a week you may become a bit bored. There was always a chef cooking in front of you : pancakes & eggs for breakfast and fresh meat & fish at lunch and dinner. Breakfast was my favourite with a wide choice of everything and always a large selection of croissants and pastries......yummy!
We never had a problem finding sunbeds at the pool and we often didnt go to the pool until the afternoon but this may be different in high season.
Waterpark is fun and free to guests staying at the hotel, food is also free in the waterpark as are soft drinks but not tea and coffee but I cant complain at that as where else could you go to a waterpark and not only have free entrance but free refreshments aswell?
Taxis and buses are cheap enough so we ventured out for a couple of trips to Mogan and Puerto Rico which are busier than the hotels resort if you want a change. Market day in Mogan is Friday and is worth a visit.
There are all the usual souvenir shops in the resort as well as a small supermarket and a cash machine so plenty to spend your money on!
The evening entertainment took place in the central area of the resort and you could get your drinks from the bar there. There are 3 Paradise hotels in the resort so they all shared this area. Childrens entertainment seemed like good fun and the adults was typical of most hotels but considering you didnt pay for it I have no complaints! We could even see the stage, and hear the music, from our balcony on the occasions when we went back to the hotel early in the evening.
The hotel is completely non smoking in all inside areas and also balconies which is good if you are travelling with children but there is an outside bar area in the evenings for the smokers and you are also able to smoke at the pool bar.
So all in all I would recommend this hotel especially if you are travelling with children or teenagers as there is something for everyone. I booked this hotel on the strength of the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not not disappointed. I would stay here again should we return to the area although we tend not to go back to the same resort twice as we like to experience new places.

“Bad luck breaker.”

There are two things that hotels can not control....1) human nature and stupidity 2)Weather.

Take my wife and I, we forgot our accomadation voucher so after a long day traveling weren't the mood for this issue, but the hotel staff were fantastic. Helpful and very understanding.

The Hotel is modern, clean and has a professional feeling to it.

Our room was spacious, modern with air con. I was a little disapointed with the TV since it was lacking in english channels but I was able to live with it. The food was of excellent quality a little repetitive but there was always plenty of it, please understand this a multi european hotel and english food was not the priortiy. The garlic sauce was to die for!!!

The one thing about this resort is that the kids are well looked after with a water park and beach in walking distance. The water park is free to use as well as any facilitiess in any of the other resort hotels.

The one thing that the hotel can't control is the traders that operate in the area. We fell for the free trips offer that ment we sat through a time share offer. They say it is not time share but trust me it is.

The local transport system is cheap, easy to understand and generally on time.

My wife and I are no the judgemental travellers that trip advisor seems to encourage. We accepted that the food was different, the anaimation team were enoying but the kids love them and yes the sheets weren't changed everyday but if you wash there won't be a problem!

This resort offers value for money in an excellent location. We are planning to return in the future.

“Really Good 4 Star Hotel.”

Hi, My husband, Myself and my 24 year old son who was at a loose end all went to this 4 star Hotel in September, 2011. After reading some of the reviews which where not at all bad we booked for 7 days. We fly with Thomson and the filght was great they even had a flim on. When we got to the airport in Gran Canaries the transfer coach was waiting but we then sat at the airport for nearly an hour before departing and then we had to go and drop other people to there hotel,s which took aroung an hour and a half, which was far to long after getting of a 4 hour flight. But we got to our hotel around ten pm and the receptionist informed us we could go and have some cold buffet food in the restaurant, we thought it was really nice of them to do this. We had something to eat and a look about and then went to our room. The room was big and really clean. The roms were cleaned every day and the cleaning staff were very nice and worked really hard. The hotel was very good the bar staff where friendly the food was excellent, and the aquapark was really great. The only thing l would say the entertainment only went on till 11.00 pm and some nights it really wasn't very good. We met some really nice people and we all had a great time.

Jean from Belfast. Northern Ireland.

Room Tip: All rooms had the sun until late on the baloncy which l thought was great after lying all day in the...
