“Perfect place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Myself (25) and my girlfriend (21) stayed at the Princess in June 2011, and we found it fantastic. After reading some of the reviews we where a little apprehensive but decided to book anyway on a late deal. The hotel is clean, our room was cleaned 5 times during a week long stay and the food was varied and fresh, always with an option for something simple for those fussy eaters!! A BIG benefit for us, but could be a issue for others, is the fact that there where very little English guests, with it being mainly eastern europeans, but we loved this, and meet a amazing german couple, and no they didnt put their towels out before breakfast! proberly as there are so many sun loungers around the two beautiful clean pools, both with a self service bar less than 10 metres away, bliss!!

Staff where all extremly helpful and relaxed, in fact one of the bosses dropped us off in Kos town one afternoon free of charge. All inclusive deal is brilliant, altohugh the bar does start to charge after 11pm, but we just popped up to a little bar at the end of the road which was open until you left. Kardemena was a good night out, similar to Falaraki in Rhodes and only a 20 mins (25 euro) taxi drive. All in all perfect stay for a relaxing cheap enjoyable stay.

“Honest Review”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

Very basic rooms. Our TV only had one English channel with a bad signal and the shower practically flooded the bathroom.

Food was good and I'm a fussy eater, although did seem to repeat often. Staff clear your plates quickly and food is replaced before the trays are empty. The drinks are self service so lots of wasps, some of which are huge!

Pool is great as are the entertainment staff. Always loads of sunbeds and great views of the beach.

Beach gets very hot but the sea was great fun, as always seemed to have waves. The sunbeds on the beach are 5 Euros to hire (2 beds and an umbrella) but we never saw anybody collecting money. Although we didn't actually sunbathe on the beach because the pool was so close. Great views from the beach. You can see Turkey!

Evening entertainment was great if you enjoy commedy. The main guy reminded me of Jim Carey. Although didn't start until 9.45 pm.

The shop on site was small but had everything you need. The lady was very helpful and even went to the Pharmacy for me after I developed I heat rash. She also lent us connect 4 to play on a night.

The hotel has very few English guests but we didn't find this a problem as all the staff could speak English.

The nearest town is an hours walk away along the beach front and does get a bit scruffy. Although you can get a bus for 1.60 Euros but this only runs from 7.30 pm. The town only has about 6 shops and a few restaurants.

The bus to Kos Town costs 2.90 Euros but worth a trip.

“a relaxing holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

we have just arrived back from a week at the princess of kos and have had such a fantastic relaxing holiday. i was unsure of what to expect after reading other reviews, but i needn't of as the hotel was great.
yes there are alot of other nationalities, but there were also other british families there, and our 2 children made some great friends.
the hotel is kept very clean, our room was situated in the first block after the reception and it was a lovely clean room. we had twin beds and bunk beds for the children, the maids came in and cleaned each day apart from sunday. we were therefore just one min walk from the restaurants & pool.
the pool by the main hotel was our favourite as it was very quiet & chilled out. it had a very good size childrens pool and plenty of sunbeds available. no matter what time you arrived you could get a sunbed. no-one really put towels out on the sunbeds so you dont have to worry about being up at 6am!!! towels are not included in the all-inc. but you can rent from the hotel for 0.70 euro each.
the pool by the beach is where the activities take place & apparently you get a bit mithered by the staff to take part, & there is loud dance music played.
the beach is lovely, you pay 5 euros each for sunbeds for a day. we just took towels and lay on them. great waves in the sea. not very good for snorkelling though.
the pool bar is open 10am-6pm. all-inc drinks are all self serve. there are sandwiches available through the day & pancakes & doughnuts are available mid morning.
all meals can be taken in either the main restaurant or the outdoor taverna. the food was good. we are quite fussy but we always ate well.
ice cream/cake/coffee is served 4-5pm.
the night time entertainment was good, with a mini disco at8.45pm each night. after which there are comedy nights/talent shows etc. there is a disco twice a week till 1am. we were never bothered by any noise at night though.
the staff in the hotel are really nice & friendly & helpful.
safes are in reception and cost 14 euros for a weeks stay.
i would definately recommend the hotel and there are plenty of things you can go off and do if you dont like sitting by the pool all day. go to kos town/boat over to turkey/visit the water park(lido) 5mins frim hotel/go into mastahari.

“Very poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

Food shock! Food for children have not been any. When I complained arrival functionless air conditioning. Lasted exactly 36 hours before they came and found that it is not gas. Repair took about 3 minutes. We had paid all inclusive but we had to be constantly at each other money because there are lots of things pay extra!?
Eg. frappe, chairs, towels, internet ... The hotel does not absolutely identified 4 *! It is 3 *.
The sea is full of algae in the afternoon with children and virtually uninhabitable. In vain I try to find a plus, but unfortunately do not find it. It's a classic polished misery.
I can definitely recommend!
