My husband and I were on an extended holiday were lucky enough to find the Chateau du Moresville on a website while traveling in the south. Because it was a mid-week stay in the beginning of high season we were able to book a room for three nights at a great rate. We made day trips to Chateau Chambord and to Chartes and found driving very easy. The staff at the the Chateau du Moresville were fantastic.
We are returning to France this summer and will plan a visit to the Chateau again.

“Lovely country Chateau at a great price”

This is a lovely 16th century Chateau. It has been well done up and has very comfortable rooms. There are only about 9 rooms and they are great value. Try and stay in the Chateau itself rather than the recently renovated Carriage house on the left as you enter. The carriage house however is very nice just a bit more modern and less "Olde world" feel.
The proprietor is an extremely nice man and took us all around the chateau.
This is a lovely place out in the country side, Pheasants in the fields on the way, deer crossing the road at night and beautiful little french villages.
It's about 25 mins outside Chartres and a great place if you want some peace and quiet in a stunning setting.
How can you beat staying in a chateau for 80Euro a night!!
