I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with my large dog and found it delightful. The service was just perfect in every sense, and it had all of those small touches that make a difference, for example ipod dock, comfy slippers and bathrobes and a decent hairdryer. Our room (standard room, not a suite) was huge with good seating area, desk / sofa etc and a large bathroom with both a bath and walk in shower. There was also a large balcony with views of the garden which was beautifully lit at night. The gardens are extensive and lovely, but really what is outstanding about this hotel is the sevice. I even thought I must be imagining things when I noticed in the morning that my room service plates had been cleared, but then remembered I had popped out to the car for a moment the previous evening and they had obviously taken the opportunity to unobtrusively clear up while I was out of the room. So many out of town hotels don't offer the little 'extras' such as someone to help with your bags, and I really appreciated that this hotel did not overlook these small things that make a stay more comfortable. The food was exceptional, they were wonderful with my dog and this hotel was definitely well above average for the price.

As a birthday gift to my fiance I booked a one-night stay in the Hotel Hanner including dinner and breakfast.
I had eaten at the restaurant before and it has always been fantastic so my expectations for the adjacent hotel probably were a bit too high... the rooms itself are OK - a bit cheesy and some of the furniture is outdated but OK. What we were quite disappointed with is the gym and the steam bath. We were lucky and were the first ones there but another couple came later on and they had to go back to their room straight after the steam bath because there was no more space to lay down! there is a tennis court but they do not have any tennis rackets to rent... if the weather is bad and the steam bath is occupied by somebody else there is not really much you can do in this hotel and we were happy that we only stayed one night.
that was to the negative points - now to the positive ones: The restaurant is simply fabulous and this was probably the best dinner I've ever had in my entire life.
Great service, exquisite ingredients, beautifully arranged on the plate and delicious... I can only recommend it. Great wine selection as well.

Breakfast was good - selection was not huge but there was everything you need for a proper breakfast and again - very high quality.

The staff is fabulous - very thoughtful and they really try to make you feel special.

Our recommendation: do try out the restaurant and also stay at the hotel if you don't want to drive back home afterwards but do not expect that the quality of the hotel is the same as the one of the restaurant...

I stayed here with my wife for 1 night, we did hear some wonderful stuff about this 'secret' place and indeed, we were not disappointed, the location is great, embedded between the forests (Wiener Wald) this lovely small boutique hotel waits for you to spoil you........our room was wonderful, with private terrace overlooking the country side.....great features, the restaurant (kitchen + service) is more than fantastic, we enjoyed a great 8-course menue including wines........I still enjoy it when thinking about it....they have a very nice small bar and do not forget to visit their wine cellar....full of surprises. And then....the breakfast, we had a typical 'Hanner Gartenfrühstück', with fresh herbs, bacon, eggs etc etc too much to write about. If you are looking for a romantic place to spoil your partner, this is definitely the place to be!!
