“What a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We had an opportunity to spend 26 nights here and are very happy we did. When we first saw the location, right on the waterfront, and the beauty of the lagoon, we were very impressed. Many of the tourists we met here only stayed for a few days aad many of them told us they realized it wouldn't be long enough. There are a number of fine restaurants within walking distance. Some you can just walk to along the beach. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and, of course, the snorkeling is great. The rooms and grounds are kept spotless. We had never been to Rarotonga before but will definitely will return and most certainly to Muri Beachcomber.

Room Tip: The Seaview rooms have a good view of the lagoon. The Gardenview rooms are closer to the pool.

Seldom is a holiday enjoyed more than whiling away sun drenched days at a great location that has wonderful facilities and super friendly staff. My wife and I have returned to the Muri Beachcomber for the last 3 years and have also taken our grown up family once. The completely relaxing atmosphere of this wonderful resort, perfectly located on Muri lagoon with its abundance of water activities, sums up the quintessential pacific Island holiday. A short stroll from a number of top class restaurants (which include the fabulous Flame Tree restaurant) and places to enjoy that balmy evening cocktail makes this the perfect spot to recharge the worn out and frazzled nerves. Another advantage of Muri Beachcomber is that it is self catering and again within walking distance of the local convenience store, therefore allowing home made tropical fruit salad breakfast over looking the lagoon as the sun rises on their private seaside deck to be just another piece to the perfect holiday puzzle.

Room Tip: The seaside Villas on the right looking up from the lagoon get lovely afternoon sun.

“A wonderful holiday destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We had a marvellous family Christmas at Muri Beachcomber. All eight of us had a ball.
.
Our accommodation was excellent and all the staff were so friendly, efficient and accommodating, often going the extra mile to make our holiday special.

The daily breakfast, Clean rooms and fresh towels every day always delivered with a lovely warm smile was much appreciated.

We met some very nice people who became friends and plan to keep in touch with them

The very friendly, clean and gorgeous local dogs and cats made themselves welcome and we even had a visit from a horse disguised as a reindeer on Christmas day down on the beach.

My granddaughters started school this week and have been very busy showing off their photo's and spreading the good word about Rarotonga and Muri Beachcomber.
If I win Lotto I will be there next week to stay for a month.

If you are looking for paradise. It's here at Muri beachcomber!!!!!

Room Tip: We had a Seaview unit which was next to all the Christmas and new Year "Happenings". We we...

“Beach front Treasure”

Well it has taken some time to write this review!! My partner and I stayed at Muri Beachcomber in March 2011, I had no experience with Raro at this time and after speaking with many other people while in Raro my goodness, am I glad I stayed here! Its amenities, facilities and location give you everything you need. Also the free airport transfers made life very easy and providing even more value for money.

This property is so perfectly positioned it sits literally on the beach front, you walk down from the property onto the beach and they have an out door deck/balcony sort of thing at the front of the property that sits above the beach, the views are to die for and getting a meal to eat on the balcony and look out at all the stars at night - I just can't even put into words how special that is!

The property is positioned on the best part of the island, the lagoon is safe and the water is shallow enough to walk from the front of the Muri Beachcomber to the other islands if you want to explore. Also the Muri is right opposite (on the road side) some takeaway places, car hire and bike places and if you walk beach front there are some spectacular on the beach restaurants.

We stayed in one of the villa sort of beach front properties, value for money is really great, the property is clean tidy, super comfortable and has air conditioning, kitchen, fridge, pool, games/tv internet room. Also we were able to get cell phone coverage at this property which I struggled to get anywhere else on the island - Muri also have a phone you can use and sort of a room with heaps of info, they also have a TV room and a computer which you can use to access the internet.

The rooms themselves when we arrived was full of beautiful tropical flowers - frangipanis etc, it was lovely and cool, we had complimentary free fruit and juice and breakfast provided everyday, the bath room was really large, great pressure in the shower and really nice fit out. The bed was really comfortable and no bugs or creepy crawlys or anything.

We are planning another trip to Raro and we will absolutely be staying here again, I could literally go on about all the great things about this property - I haven't even got to how fabulous the staff are.

Also they have free kayaks for hire, flippers and snorkel gear too - EVERYTHING you want in your holiday, I absolutely recommend this place if you travel to Raro.

Thanks Muri Beachcomber, you made our first trip to Raro a great one which was stress free and great fun, we had memories at your property that will last forever!

Thank you!

Melanie - APX Travel

“"Highly Recommended, would defintaely stay here again"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

This was our first stay at Muri Beachcomber and totally loved it, we stayed in a seaview unit and it was only a hop skip and a jump down to the beach. The Muri Lagoon was right outside our door and is brilliant for swimming in. The unit was very clean and tidy which was serviced daily apart from public holiday's, however we always had fresh towels. Awesome location, bus stop in front and scooter/car hire across the road, a lot of restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful.
