When travelling charter in the winter this is our childrens favourite hotel, and two of the reasons are the mascots; Lollo & Bernie.

The hotels has a good location, close to the beach and the walking promenade which is fantastic. You can walk to Los Christianos or La Caleta (beautiful village with good fishrestaurants) in the opposite direction.

Good standard of the hotel appartments and common areas, beautiful pool area, nice restaurants and a lot of entertainment (Scandinavian) and sports happening.

The resort has it all: it's clean, it has a good location, the pool area is nice, the restaurants are decent, kids have a lot to do etc. We did enjoy our holiday but still there was something missing: maybe it's that if I want to speak Swedish, I go to Stockholm and not the Canary Islands. Maybe it's the same Ikea furniture than back home, I don't know.

It may not be fair to expect more local touch in this area in general, but that was what I would like to have experienced. However, if you want home-like, low-effort holiday with good selection of amenities, then this is definitely your place.

The good bits

Hotel reception modern and staff very professional.
Room good without being spectacular. we were self catering, and the kitchen area had everything required including decent fridge. Air con was good, and the tv was ok, with several english channels including CBBC and Disney Channel. Decent balcony with an excellent pool view, regularly cleaned.
Pool area was good for both adults and children.
The daytime entertainment was ok.
Teenage chill out area with pool table air hockey tv/dvds etc.- had a couple of film and pizza type nights that went down well.
The resort itself - excellent beach, plenty of bars/pubs with a good mix of English pub type and local Spanish bars and restaurant with reasonable prices. Was only a couple of minutes walk to reach almost anywhere. Reasonably lively without feeling too touristy.

Not so good bits

Getting a sunbed involved getting in position about 8.45 for the 9.00 charge. Odd really because there seemed to be room to have more sunbeds.
Kids club was a mixture of swedish and english. The girls running it are swedish and therefore the majority of the time they speak swedish. This isnt a criticism because this is a swedish hotel, however it did mean that my daughter seemed a little bit on the sidelines most of the time - she actually ended up spending more time in the teenage chill out area with her brother and loved it.
night-time entertainment - entertainment area so bad that for the first time on this sort of holiday we only used the hotel entertainment once, and found alternatives in the resort.

summary

the hotel was good without being spectacular. Price was reasonable, so i would have no problem recommending it to a friend.
the resort is lovely - it has a nice relaxed feel, but there is plenty to do.

Also worth mentioning Siam Park which is only a 10 minute bus ride away - fabulous (although queues were pretty bad for the bigger rides). The wave machine alone is worth the trip.

Lovely hotel, ideally located. We were self catering so didn't actually eat there. Not many British people staying at the hotel but that didn't bother us. Loads of sunbeds, some people did try to reserve them with towels but these were taken off by one of the staff. Rooms spacious and very clean, not sure you could cook a meal in there as kitchen facilities are basic. Highly recommended.
