This hotel is altogether exceptional, with not only an extraordinary site (a sanctuary in all senses of the word), but also guest rooms carved deep into the earth thousands of years ago, rooms used by religious brotherhoods and, before them, by Hittites. The hotel has preserved the original shapes of the rooms, changing little but the comfort, so that there is a fidelity to former functions both rare and altogether unique. The hotel's owner, Mr. Ibrahim Bastutan, began modestly with a vision, prompted by the sanctity of the place. Since its birth roughly a dozen years ago, the hotel has grown into the friendliest, most attentive and congenial of resting places. The staff could not be more alive, helpful, accommodating, and hard-working. And the food is local, prepared with the greatest of care and attention. Bravo and encore Bravo Mr. Bastutan.
