I booked this place through a local travel agency. We were 2 and they booked us a studio for 145 euros per day.
The studio consisted of a small bedroom and a living room with 2 coaches/beds (you cannot sit in the coaches, you can only sleep) and an open plan kitchen (very basic).
The bedroom did not have an aircondition, there was one only in the living room. And August in Greece can be very hot (we experienced 38C). When we asked how we could deal with the heat, the answer was to turn on the aircondition in the living room - but a) it was not strong enough to reach the bedroom and b) the person who was supposed to sleep in the living room would get frozen!
I will agree 100% with the negative comment about the bathroom: the shower was tiny, no curtain and there was no way you could avoid the water going all over the place. And, answering to another comment, NO! bathrooms are not basic in Greece and a curtain is by no means considered a luxury (!?!?), I am Greek and I can guarantee you that!
The location is OK, but it is not a must-visit place on the island (Apolonia, Kastro, Artemonas are really interesting). So you have to drive a car to visit all the interesting beached and villages.
There is no parking space, so you have to park on the narrow road, not very safe for your car.
Close to Alkyonis villas is a beach bar called Folli, and the music is heard loudly in the hotel, from around 6pm till about 10-10.30pm.
I was well impressed about the cleanliness of the towels and sheets, they were in good condition and smelled very nice.
Taking into consideration all of the above, I would say that Alkyonis is a very expensive, but basic hotel, and would not recommend it. The island has far better places to stay.
