Over the course of 3 months the hotel was my home. The hotel is wonderfully set on the hill overlooking the town of Correze. The villiages and area are a hidden gem for travellers.

The hotel room are basic but clean. The restaurant offers an good level of quality. The restaurant menu does not offer a large variety and is only changed every 4-6 weeks (no other options).

The hotel staff occasionally did not live up to the attentiveness and service one would expect, especially considering that we were the only guests at the hotel at times.

All in all a relaxing stay in a beautiiful area.

What a special place! So friendly and keen to offer the best personal service. A wonderful setting in quite a sleepy town. The hotel's own directions are poor. Restaurant service is excellent - the a la carte menu was better than the fixed menu. The room we had was enormous and very well appointed. The height of luxury. Free underground parking is an asset. Very friendly staff. One of the best Mercures.

I travel with my wife for discover the region and we decide to make a stop at the mercure la seniorie , this hotel is different that others hotels mercure where we stop before.The staff is welcoming , the food at the restaurant was good and the place is look like a small castle. Many thanks to all the staff for help us to discover this beautiful city and for make our stay pleasant.

A great old home, turned hotel, that comes across on the website as a quality country manor location. It could be a great place, instead of just an average place, but still liked it. A bite remote, but the small town itself is quite lovely. We arrived at 6PM & everything, I mean absolutely everything in town had already closed for the night. Not wanting to eat in the hotel we remembered passing a small restaurant about 5 miles back, but by the time we got back there at 7PM, it too had closed. Had to drive 15 miles into Tulle to find an open restaurant. The hotel staff was busy eating when we arrived, so it was not very inviting to join them in the lonely dining room. Tulle, however, was a great find & a lovely town that we returned to the following day. The ownership of La Seniorie seems to lack focus on what the place is &/or could be. Though there is a large, wonderful terrace which offers great views across the surrounding hills, there was not a single piece of furniture. The place definitely gives the impression that it closes part of the year & we may have arrived just days before it was locked down. I would not recommend going out of your way to stay there, but if you are passing through the area anyway, it's a nice little overnight. Very pleasant staff & spotlessly clean.
