I have stayed in the Douglas several times and am never disappointed.
Rooms always clean and breakfast choice and quality is excellent.
The fact that many of the locals dine there is testimony to the dinner menu.
The meals are wonderful with something to cater for everyones taste.
Staff are always helpful, pleasant and friendly.
I will be back there soon.

If you are looking to stay in Langholme we would definitely recommend The Douglas, with it's warm and friendly service, clean comfortable room, excellent food and good atmosphere.

We chose this hotel for lunch due to the great TA reviews and were not disappointed.

As a start to our holiday it was great but Oh! the portion sizes are huge, a half portion of fish and chips for my two girls was the size of an adult portion...too much for lunch.

A real surprise in the middle of a quiet town but a very pleasant one.

what a lovely place everyone so friendly could not be more helpful and as for the food.. ..........We have worked in catering for over twenty years and cannot praise the food more highly. the slow cooked belly pork with black pudding and crackling histrionic could never be bettered. A very comfortable imaginatively styled hotel with a great family owning and running it. We were only staying for one night but had to stay for another will have to find a reason to visit again, well its near to Gretna Green!
