“A wonderful place! We will be back!”

My wife and I stayed here in January 2012. It is an exceptional place, a place apart. From the bungalows scattered through the grounds and along the beach, to the pools, to the sumptuous meals at the restaurant, we enjoyed it all. Before arriving we mentioned we would like to visit several area attractions. Excursions were flawlessly arranged by their competent staff. We cannot say enough about the staff, friendly without being intrusive, informative without being overwhelming, accommodating....what more can we say!

Beautiful setting, great food and accommodations, wonderful staff. Wow..

“A beautiful absolute beachfront resort! Highly recommend this uniquely idyllic place”

My wife and I stayed here last week in a Deluxe Pandanus Bungalow and just loved this resort. Loved the huge main pavilion with its bar, restaurant and decks, all open and airy. Great place for a drink - a cold beer, a chilled glass of wine, or a cocktail in comfortable lounges and chairs around the bar. We loved walking along the raincorest pathways to our lovely bungalow which was bigger than we expected and very tastefully appointed. The different swimming pools we used every afternoon after mornings spent relaxing on sun loungers right on a spectacular beach which the resort has as its own. Cool drinks of an afternoon from the Beach Shack didn't go astray either. To be able to walk along a lit rainforest path at night back to our bungalow and see wallabies in front of us, or brilliant electric blue butterflies in the days, will make you never wish for a sterile multi level hotel resort corridor ever again.
This place is unique. The staff are typical friendly helpful chatty Aussies and the location is perfect. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast which was standard hotel fare as we ate out at restaurants in nearby Cairns and Palm Cove every night to experience something different each night.
This resort isn't brand new (it's 24 years old I think) but is very well maintained and like I said before, in a position that is hard to beat anywhere in the world.
My wife and I loved this resort and plan to go back again soon

Room Tip: We were in Bungalow # 70 which we recommend. The beachfront bungalows aren't that close to the b...

“A hidden gem!”

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for our 10th anniversaryI The service from start to end was exceptional! We couldn't fault the room at all. Very clean and in very good order. The pools are amazing and the beach was lovely. The resturant served beautiful food and the wait staff couldn't have been more attentive. If you want a little bit of luxury in the tropics, this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: All the cabins are so far apart it and most are on the lake or beach front that any cabin is good.

“Wonderful Honeymoon!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

The Kewarra Beach Hotel was the most fabulous/wonderful/amazing experience! We stayed there in January of 2011 for our honeymoon, and we were NOT disappointed! From the start, Michael and the employees of the hotel helped us with everything. From a surprise lunch excursion to their private island (Double Island) for my husband, to a day at the zoo where they introduced us to the keepers there (you can hold the koalas!!)...everything was amazing. I would not have made any changes to this trip. The rooms were beautiful. We stayed in a room with an ocean view. The pool was beautiful, although we did not spend much time there because we were busy enjoying Cairns. My only regret is that we did not stay there longer than 3 nights. If I could change anything, I would arrange our trip so we could stay a week. GORGEOUS!!

Room Tip: talk to Michael! He helped me plan the BEST surprise lunch for my new hubby!!

“A wonderful place to stay with outstanding service.”

This beach resort is quite nice. We stayed in one of the beachfront rooms. The room was very nice and quite comfortable. Clean with no bugs. The Wireless Internet worked perfectly. The staff is exceptional. I have rarely seen a more friendly and helpful group. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but it made up for it in quality and quantity. I would definitely stay here again.
