“Not Good. We had to leave”

After reading the reviews of this place I did not think a bad experience was possible. After staying one night, we had to pack up and leave with no refund - it was that bad! I don't see how anyone other than an 18 year old backpacker could enjoy this place. The rooms are small and VERY DIRTY. The shower has only COLD water and there is no pressure at all. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The furniture looks and feels like it was washed up on shore from a sunken cruise ship from the 1960's. The doors / windows do not shut properly and are in need of repair, thus many bugs get inside. We woke up the next morning with ichy red dots from bug bites. We even returned one afternoon from going out to lunch to find there were 2 big cats running around inside our room (ewww!!) because the door was left open by the maid and someone had placed cat food on the roof of the first floor (the treehouse - where we stayed - is on the second floor, but there is a back door leading to the roof of the 1st floor where the cats where running in and out of our room to get the food). You are charged for any use of lights / water at an additional rate.

Other than the staff being kind, there is no reason to stay here!

This is a beautiful guest house managed by a beautiful family. We loved every minute of our stay. We only hope that we can come back again some day.

“Best place in Aruba”

Stayed at the highrisedsfor a couple days and here at the end of our vacatioin. Wish I would have stayed here the whole time. Best vacatioin experience I have EVER had! Loved Peter, Julie, Ralphie and Jack. Also loved all the other vacationers that were there. So relaxing and is a true get away from reality!! The Flying Fish is right next door, it is close to baby beach and the national park. I'd love to go back!! this is not your usual hotel. So If you are high maintance, I don't think you will like it...

“Heaven on the water”

Julie the owner at Coral Reef truly made our trip worthwhile, not to mention Coral Reef itself away from the hallaballo up north with high and low rises. No I was not to keen on Aruba itself but since I suspected that beforehand I rented an apt at Coral Reef and it made our trip. Julie, again, was so helpful she really went out of her way to help when we had problems. Always in a nice friendly mood. The place rest on the beach with its own wooden dock perfect for hanging around and swim if we did not feel like going around to explore. I usually do want that but this time I found myself hanging around the place quite a bit. Good food around the corner and with a car rented thats all we needed. We did a sidetrip to Curacao which I lilked alot more than Aruba but sure..Aruba was friendlier people and safer otherwise Willemstadt and Curacao I could go back to in notime
Thanks Julie and Peter for making our holiday

“Aruba - One Happy Island”

If you´re looking for the perfect place to stay... Search no more!!
Simply the best and cheapest place on Aruba! Peter & Julie who runs the place made me
feel so special, nothing was to much trouble.
I loved the location, a short drive/busride from the airport to Savaneta, but truly NO noise.
If you want to relax, that's the place to go.
Tried different rooms during my visit...They are all equipped with all the basics you
need, such as fridge, safes etc and most of them also have a small
kitchen. There´s a few resturants nearby and also the local bar
"Zee Rovers", where you can watch the fishermen and eat their catch of the day.
Simply a perfect Aruba holiday.
Give it a try!!!!!
