I arrived to the hotel on Sunday and I liked the place, the people was nice but the hotel small, the food is OK but the rest is great, the view and the shooping mall infront of the hotel makes it great to stay, the carpet on the room had a funny smell and the wireless was not working so good.

But I strongly recommend the hotel :)

We are so happy we chose Safi in San Pedro. It is a gorgeous hotel - definitely a 5 star property for very, very reasonable rates. Our room is lovely with a flat screen tv and a king size bed. The two fresh bottles of water included every day are most welcome. Free wireless internet throughout the hotel, including poolside. The restaurant is wonderful - the breakfast buffet is a must. The doormen let us know how much to spend for each taxi ride, and there were even 50% off coupons in the bar as a welcome gift. It is a 15 minute, $7 taxi ride to downtown (you must see the MARCO Museum), a $3 taxi ride to many wonderful restaurants, including Bistro Bardot, which we loved. Across the street is a large mall with a grocery store inside. San Pedro is extremely safe - our local friends suggested we stay in San Pedro and take taxis to the downtown attractions. Given the excellent value and luxury surroundings, this is one of my favorite hotels of all time.

The decoration of this hotel is probably not to everyone's liking but service is Ok and they make you feel welcome.Highly recommended breakfast buffet !

This is a fabulous hotel in upmarket San Pedro.I stayed in the Safi Valle whilst visiting my daughter who is studying in Monterrey.The breakfast buffet is delicious,particularly the cakes.The staff were very helpful despite my limited Spanish.We were in a family party and the children in the party were allowed in the lobby bar -it was not an issue.There are great views of the mountains and there is a shopping mall just across the road. The beds are huge and so comfortable.It's a great hotel and tremendous value.
