“A Great Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Was there November end and it was just perfect. The weather, the facilities, the staff, the food and above all the location. Had a great time. Would highly recommend to visitors. The road from Moradabad to Ramnagar was really bad. It was great to have one's own vehicle so that we could travel as comfortably as we wanted. I was pleasantly surprised to see the size of the resort campus. There was so much room for any kind of family/games activities. Though I was alone, but next time I'm going with the family. The manager of the resort was very competent and knowledgeable about the local wildlife & birds. He also knew of the other local areas of interest, where one could take day trips.

Room Tip: Your own transport is advisable.

“beautiful setting but difficult to get to.”

the location in terms of views is beautiful but is about 30kms away from the entire cluster of resorts in corbet. its right on the ramganga river and the setting is gorgeous. huge lawns and very quiet and peaceful. but that itself can turn negative for the resort as they have nothing to entrtain the guests after sundown. especially very boring for kids as there is no tv or internet and the games room was also taken up for some conference throughout our stay.
rooms are average, infact small for a family of 4. we had an extra bed put up in the room and it really cramped up the place. the super deluxe rooms are much bigger.
the food is awesome with great desserts. staff is also very helpful.
overall good if you need a quiet place to unwind, and eat the whole day but very boring after night.

Room Tip: go for the super deluxe rooms.

“Amazing Experience in Absolute Wilderness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

As we crossed the very rough patch from Moradabad into Uttarakand, we were greeted by plush green jungles. Trees with wide leaves annd cool shadows welcomed us. The Tiger is the king of Corbett and as we entered his kingdom, we bowed to his towering presence everywhere. No horns, no loud music, no plastics, we were in the house of nature very different from the concrete jungle we are so adept living in.

Ramganga resort is naturally beautiful located at the river. No TV, no phone, simple room, ample nature though we had airconditioned rooms and hot water. Pretty lonely once it gets dark and the fear or thrill of tiger coming near your room at night ..............We were scared first night.

No TV, no cellphones. So we read books and talked to each other what we miss in our daily grind.

Food is awesome and plenty. Tea excellent.

Great experience returning to basics.

Must visit as this gizmo life drains you and you need to get back to nature.

Room Tip: Take your blankets, books and recreational stuff not related to IT.

“Leave aside the Tigers, soak into nature here..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

I have been to this place twice in 2 years. That itself should say a lot. The vastness of the property is mesmerizing. And the best part is that they just let you be..without the trauma of somebody behind you all the time to take care of your needs and all. Actualy, you need nothing here. Just Be.
The USP of this resort should be the Ramganga river which is just at a stone's throw. Yes, my child loved throwing stones in the river and watching the waves that it creates. The constant rumbling of the river flowing by, the sound of the mild breeze and the chirping of the birds, I say, no one will want to come back from there. But to be somewhere you have to earn, and then there is office and alll, So.....
The rooms are good, but since you are in a jungle, so watch out for the insects. you should carry a mosquito repellant- both vaporiser and the cream, and if possible, an insect killing spray. Otherwise ask the folks there to leave one in your room. The lawns are lush green, leave aside the fauna this time and focus on the flora here. You will love it. The food is quite good here, if you want something special you can always talk to the very cordial chef, Mr. Sharma and request him with a hearty smile. He will comply.
Breakfast is a lavish spread, so is the evening snacks. Gorge on more and more and forget the tipping weighing scale! Corbett, I can go anytime just for the sake of a non-intrusive, very peaceful vacation.

Room Tip: Appreciate rooms near the dining hall and pool. But check out whether they are giving you connecting...

“Peace and Tranquility”

If it were possible I would still be there sitting next to the river watching clouds being born in the surrounding mountains and an incredible variety of birds. Simply raise your hand and someone is there to bring you another drink or something to snack on. In the dining room the Chef actually came out and introduced himself to us and asked if there was anything special that he could prepare for us. When we were finished with a meal he would return to see of we were happy with what he had prepared for us. This is a very nice and also rare touch. Our rooms were large and clean with a big front porch to sit on in the morning and read the paper, listen to the many species of birds and enjoy the view while sipping coffee. The beds were basic and harder than I like (typical of India) but with absolute silence at night, other than the river, I slept like a baby. Yes, I will be returning. Soon.
