We stayed at this hotel because we wanted to into Milan and explore other parts of this area. As a family of four it's hard to find hotel rooms in Europe to accomodate all of us without having to pay for two rooms.
Room- we stayed in a loft room in the main building. It was spacious and well appointed. The air conditioning worked great upstairs and downstairs. Two bathrooms one with shower and one upstairs with a huge bathtub with jets and mood lighting. The main floor had a pull out couch as well as a full table and sink and fridge. There would be room for a hideaway bed as well. Second floor had a big bed, desk, bathroom and plenty of drawers. It was impeccably clean when we checked in and housekeeping did a great job during our stay.
Service-The service in this hotel was great, warm, helpful and the front desk and restaurant spoke fluent English. They helped us with everything from getting toothpaste to finding the train station.
Restaurant-we ate the Devero restaurant and wow was that a great experience. We went with our two kids and were treated great. Even though it was a high end restaurant, high end did not equal snooty. The food was just amazing. We also did room service which was limited but very good. Breakfast was in the 24 restaurant and that was the only time the service was a bit lacking. There was only one other couple and the food was a mixture of continental breakfast set up on the bar. Usually you are welcomed and pointed towards the food and told a little bit about the selection and if there are any hot items available. We pretty much sat ourselves and figured it out.
Milan - This hotel is a bit far from Milan. From the train station to the Duomo was at least 1/2 hour with one change over. If you are only sightseeing in Milan, and are traveling with young children this might not be the best choice.
Internet- this is a bit annoying in that it is free but you need a code and each code is only good for four hours. also, you need to log off with the code so if you forget or just turn you computer off, your time will run out. They will give you as many as you need but in my opinion, if you're offering free wifi, don't make it a hassle.
If we are ever in the area again, we will be back, even if it's just for dinner!
Room Tip: If you are a family, get a loft...
