After reading previous reports we contacted the hotel to see as their brochure states that the building work had been completed, we were assured it was.
Arrived at the hotel that looked more like an open prison than a hotel , in reception a family of four were already having heated conversation with the receptionist who clearly could not find his way around the computer issue, after ten minutes it was our turn, noticing the builders equipment still in the grounds I asked if work had been completed, the receptionist assured me that it was,
I short, it was not, we had to navigate around builders equipment to our room, a spare door and frame was propped up against our room door, the room was great, no problems with that, would liked to have seen pottery cups rather than paper cups. However hammer drills started next morning , and went on all day.
By the way the refurbished swimming pool , yes its full of rubble dispite the hotel brochure stating it was refurbished in the summer of 2011, further to this the business facities do not appear to be avlaiable as stated from the summer of 2011
The bar area , well I have seen more atmosphere in a dentist reception, bright fluorescent lighting, yes in this day and age , and staff that seem to want to hide behind the scenes and laugh and joke rather than serve.

Many thanks for taking the time to inform us of your experience in our property. Your comments are greatly appreciated since they give us the opportunity to improve our level of service.
I deeply regret if you had not been informed the renovation works are not yet finished in the hotel. I understand you had to suffer from this situation despite the measure taken to separate works and guest areas. We will certainly reinforce this separation immediately to avoid this happens again.
For what concerns your room experience, I thank you for your positive comments which prove our efforts to renovate the hotel are giving some result. Regarding the pottery cups, please note we have just received a delivery today and they are already available for our guests.
To end, we appreciate your comments regarding the bar ; our architect is working on this topic and some improvements are planned for the decoration of this area as soon as possible.
I apologize for the inconvenience during your stay and hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in Englos in our fully renovated hotel : we are almost there !
